These locations were later recreated in the 1990 Scorsese classic, Goodfellas amzn.to/3bxC027
For more info on these locations, check out my post on where everything really happened according to Henry Hill imayroam.com/2021/01/25/goodf...

Hello UMAmherst. Thanks for watching. He must have moved to Bensonhurst in his teen years? Check out this article abc7ny.com/larry-king-obit-death-dies/9952385/ "Larry King spent his childhood in Brownsville, Brooklyn. He was born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger in November 1933. He was a son of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe who ran a bar and grill."

@@brianmayroam Thanks for your reply and for posting all your informative videos. I found an archived Wall Street Journal article ( www.wsj.com/articles/larry-king-on-his-path-from-brooklyn-to-beverly-hills-1464792203 ) that stated the King family lived on Howard Ave in Brooklyn until Larry was 9 years old, at which point his dad tragically passed away and his mom moved the family to Bensonhurst. Looking on a map, it appears that the street address on Howard was located in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn just north of Brownsville. Good chance I will sign-up for your Ramones tour when I travel back to my boyhood home in Brooklyn this summer. Stay safe.

I think the confusion for the rest of the country with respect to NYC is that outside Manhattan, so many communities are referred to in such a way that they appear to be separate political entities when in fact it's all really greater NYC. Case in point, Bay Ridge, Brooklyn or Bayside, Queens and the rest. In fact, it seems the only borough actually referred to as NY is Manhattan with notable exceptions such as Harlem.

Good tour, it's always a interesting thing when the goodfellas is involved, and it was more interesting back then than it is there now, as much as people say crime don't pay, it's proving false, it's still going on if it doesn't pay it would have ended back in the day, crime made more money just from movies and memorabilia of the shining criminality that movies seal out in the first day it hits theaters, crime seal's over and over again, if churches started showing mafia movies in them every Sunday after mass churches would be packed up to the top, have a great day, good tour, back in time,
