60 years of doctor who is here. So here is a brief history lesson from 1963 till 1999. Yeah I might of missed stuff out but the important stuff is here, to be honest.
There no big finish that's too much and I don't have enough money to listen to every one of those stories.
if you're triggered by me calling the doctors pronouns they/them, maybe this isn't the video for you...
Video concept inspired by Bill Wurtz's, history of the entire world but it's my spin!
Previously named, the entire history of doctor who i guess... part one
If you liked it pls leave a lil like n subscribe!
Modern era is coming before the 60th i swear.
Chapters:
0:00 Intro and First Doctor
05:56 Second Doctor
08:26 Third Doctor
12:30 Fourth Doctor and Spin Off?!
17:37 Fifth Doctor
20:50 Sixth Doctor
22:42 Seventh Doctor
25:01 Wilderness Years
25:51 Eighth Doctor and the end..?

Thank you for such an overwhelming happy response! Part two is currently lost! (Just like missing episodes haha I wanna cry) My hard drive needs to be data recovered and I didn't back it up! Hence the delay... I'm saving up as we speak and if you want to help get it out quicker, I've linked my patreon and my Ko-Fi in my bio and on my page! Thank you and sorry for the delay. (Edited) This is just a lil fun video to show your friends to get them back into the show or even for yourself! Also, I edit a scene of Bessie the car to Charli XCX Vroom Vroom, so I'm sorry doctor who fans who are constantly on the internet getting angry if I said traken wrong in this goofy ass video, miss-spelt "Until" and said they/them too many times. Don't think this video is for you! xxx But of course, thank you again for the nice and wonderful comments! Like and subscribe of course and stay along, there will be some more fun videos after these ones 😎💙

There were 2 Dr. Who movies made starring Peter Cushing. You haven't mentioned them. The first one ,Dr. Who And The Daleks gives the account of Dr. Who inventing the Tardis. Cushing has gray hair and is not a Time Lord. The second one has Dr. Who ( Cushing) encountering the Daleks in Dr. Who And The Daleks 2150. These should be included if you want a complete history..

An absolutely fantastic video. Started watching with the newest seasons (2000 and on) and have always wanted to go back to understand how we got here.. there isn't another video that I have seen that has been so concise and informative when it comes to this. With the recent announcements of doctor who it has sparked my interest to start watching again and this was exactly what I was looking for. These things take time and i'm honestly excited to see part 2. Love the style, love the jokes, keep it up!

I never thought about that before but it's so interesting to think about, with daleks obsessed with 'purity' while cybermen seek 'progress.' Interesting, however, that the daleks consistently seem so much more powerful than the cybermen, even the far future cybermen who are so ridiculously dangerous that a single one is reason to blow up an entire planet.

One of the coolest facts about Doctor Who is that it's still going because of its fans. As in, the fans who grew up with the show are now _actually_ in charge of it and even brought it back on air after cancellation. Some became writers, some became directors, and some even got to play that amazing character they always dreamed to be. And they're doing an amazing job (not all of them). I'll be there for the 100th anniversary. And I think the Doctor will still be there too.

This is amazing! I'm so glad you mentioned the Virgin Publishing books. Tbh I'd describe the VNAs as: 'that time Doctor Who got super edgy and Ace canonically called the Doctor a "little shit"'. And it was also when for some reason, they wanted to put loads of HP Lovecraft and eldritch lore into the Who universe. Also on another note, the Eighth Doctor Adventure novels were the first time we had some major queer representation in Who. It was the first time the Doctor has seriously considered their gender identity and numerous companions were LGBTQ+. Also in one book Eight canonically has a boyfriend who he lives with.

@@louisslegall They really are important to the whole franchise imo. There's a lot of stuff that filtered its way up into the show when it returned, beyond just stuff like adapting 'Human Nature' (also when we first saw the Doctor being called the oncoming storm, in Love and War). I also feel like the 8th Doctor comics in Doctor Who Magazine, particularly with Izzy, set out the dynamic that was explored more when the show came back.

To be fair you cut out all the jokes... Well, the 12th doesn't come along for a while, but for a thumbnail history of Classic Who you did very well. It's really hard to cover the wilderness years and you still checked the high points. It's easy to get bogged down in all the fan productions and semi-official (but not really) movies made straight to video, the novels, audios, cartoons, etc. from when the show was off the air. The well of DW is very deep, and the wider you focus your lens it seems nearly bottomless.

Beilliant succinct, but Im not sure refering to a particular incarnation as "they" works when theres only a singular 2nd Doctor and singular 3rd Doctor, (or even a singular Delgado Master). Otherwise beautifully put together.

This was an excellent recap! Thanks! Also, it’s really great that you put in an effort to properly gender the Doctor. I really think it’s okay to refer to a single Doctor as “he” or “she” since individual Doctors, even in the modern era, use “he” or “she” depending on the Doctor as opposed to “they.”

The video was meant to be classic and new so it's only fair to use they/them for the doctor! Thank you very much for noticing and appreciating and I totally agree with you 😊

@@jakethereacterandreviewer6595 right? i mean...wouldn't 13 look at you funny if you said they instead of she? i thought the whole point of gender is that it represents who you are now, not "well the doctor was he until he was she so now they're they in all circumstances even though 14 out of 15 are clearly fine with being referred to as men"

Well it's just logic 5o do it in my opinion no matter the reason it fits The Doctor is Multiple people The Doctor had female incarnation (even before Jodie) And the Doctor is genderfluid so yeah I never understood people being against this (also it fit the Doctor's character a lot honnestly it even had more mystery on them)
