-Sidorovic is a scalper, buy as little from him as you can -when looking for amor in the beginning fase focus on carry weight and radiation protection - get a scoped weapon early and save buying binoculars -a multtool can be repaired by a sharpening stone set and it's way cheaper like that -always take assassination and mutant killing quest, 90% of the time they fix themselves -Don't kill the merc trader, he pays top notch for patches, but you might need a disguise to go there -Butcher gives best price for mutant meat, but scientists give more for other mutant parts

Hard to believe I've invested in EFT, Stalker sop, ....the list goes on and this Anomaly has been sitting right there. Have been wanting a single player version of EFT and DAYZ etc and here it is. The gaming community has definitely given back to all us cash paying folk with this stand alone mod. Thanks to all of you modders.

I learned that gun dmg is an outdated stat. In gamma, all dmg is based off of the ammo.

For better progression in the game, I recomend playing factions that neutral with duty, and spawn in Rostok or go there as soon as possible, both Loner and Duty in there will give you as much good quest as you can get. After it done, Duty stalker will give you money and some food or even some explosive so you can do the Hit mission easier. Beside the mission, you can paticipate in Arena where you could fight mutant or other Stalker for money. If you wounded after a fight, go to the medic near Duty base. He will heal you up for very cheap price.

If you hit Shift+F5 you have a timed quicksave that can be used anywhere called a "Daddy" save. This allows you to save anywhere without a campfire, but only once every couple minutes. You need a "Daddy token" which is given to you I think every 300 seconds but I am not 100% on that.

if your not that new to the game you can just not do fanatics second mission and keep him in your party indefinetly, like all the major npcs wolf, strelok rouge and stitch he has buffed health and armor, so i would just give him an ak or a nice machine gun to tote around, then when you get hip you have a pretty good base team, if you also pick up a couple other people you wont have to be afraid of mutants in the outside world, as a party of 5 can take down most mutants before they can hurt you even on hardest difficulty, granted companions can be a pain in the ass but for the extra carry weight and protection. i think its a fair trade off, they also will often agro on mutants before you see them giving you early warning

Hi stalkers (maybe this is a stupid question) should I start playing GAMMA now as it is 0.9 so far? I never played anomaly so I'm interesting in doing a full story focused playthrough and idk if 1.0 isn't going to make some huge changes that could corrupt my saves or ruin my playthrough.

can you copy the whole game from different disc (hdd) to other (ssd) after you instaled? so it works better?

It seems like there are way too many enemies in my game - like in cordon there are packs of dogs that are 6 -10 strong, packs of boars everywhere sometimes 8 strong - not to mention that my ui is fucked in the bottom on my tab menu where it shows food / drink / sleep... Is there a way I can easily debug? I'm just using the gamma preset from the drop down menu in the mod manager thingy

Toughest part of this game for me is the crafting system. I can’t make heads or tails of it. I kinda wish there was an option to simplify it somehow.

I just started playing, "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.- G.A.M.M.A.-", tonight. I'm having a relatively minor issue with a keybind that I'm hoping perhaps, someone can help me with. Ok, so the issue is, I have my flashlight(Torch) bound to the "L" key, but when I hit, "L", nothing happens at all. It is the handheld flashlight, not the headlamp, if that makes a difference. My keybindings show that something called a, "Detector", is bound to, "CapsLock". And if I hit, "CapsLock", it activates my flashlight. Needless to say I am thoroughly confused. Can anyone help me out here? Or, perhaps, make a suggestion? Thank you, very much.

I dont understand why most of these guides cover things that are literally explained by the game itself. I wonder who these guides are made for. People that cant read? I still appreciate the effort put in these types of videos so heres a few things id like to contribute - Your PDA offers a ton of information. Open it and check out the 'Guide' tab - GAMMA 0.9 comes with a Taskboard on the PDA so you dont have to go to each individual task giver to start accept a task - As a loner youre better off starting in Rostok. The Rookie Village 'tutorial' is trash honestly, Sid overcharges you for items, the mechanic is far away, you have no medic and the area is ironically less safe. Meanwhile in Rostok you have access to a medic, mechanic, food salesman and general item (Warsaw pact) seller. Other than that Rostok offers you excellent base security, a vast and steady amount of tasks from pretty much every friendly faction other than Freedom, the Arena and relatively close proximity to Butcher in Garbage and the scientists in Yantar. Also if you want a 'safe' way to hunt the more higher tier mutants you only have to wait till nighttime and theyll spawn just outside the base north and south of the base. Mutants will change according to your character level/reputation - Butcher gives the best prices for all mutant parts and meat as well as shotgun ammo and high tissue damage ammo like hollow points or .45 Hydro Shocks - Items like Glucose shots are there to counteract side effects like dizzyness so save them for when you need to use yadulin. For food just buy the imports or cook mutant meat - The field cooking kit is a waste of points. Instead just buy the multi fuel stove at a discount at Butcher - Shotguns are nice early game against most mutants and low tier Bandits/Renegades but they do diddly squat against most Mercs at medium-long range so for a more versatile weapon id recommend a SMG - Binoculars in starting load out is a must imo. Being able to spot threats before they spot you can save you some very sticky situations - Grab a flashlight or better yet headlamp. You really dont wanna be caught outside without one in the nighttime - If you want to avoid the nighttime completely have a few sleeping pills on you and use them when you want to sleep through the nightly hours. Theyre expensive though
