So what are the procedures for students after 12th i passed my 12th standard with 96% state board. Is ielts required to take admission? Is any scholarships available?. And also about job opportunities too
@unibirmingham Жыл бұрын
Congratulations on achieving 96%. we would welcome an application from you for our Law programme. We would not require IELTS if you meet our other English language requirements which would be 80% in English in your Grade XII. Regarding job opportunities, we have a fantastic service provided by CEPLER, our Centre for Professional Legal Education and Research. CEPLER provides internships, experiences and workshops supporting all students to achieve their career aspirations.

Right now I am in 11th standard and wanted to study in your university after 12th.. I saw in a comment that your university needs 80-90% for admission but I have a question do you guys also need 9th to 11th grades or just 12th please solve my problem.. it's a request because in India because of covid 19 we can't give exam physically its online test so that's why I am asking do you guys need only 12th grade??
@unibirmingham2 жыл бұрын
No need to panic, we appreciate the challenges of the pandemic are having on your studies. For entry to the LLB programme we require only Grade 12 and we consider grades of 85% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 80% West Bengal or 90% Other State boards to meet our requirements

Hey There, I wanted to ask about the future aspect after doing LLM in UK, like if I only take the course of LLM in the UK, from what I have heard, I cannot work as a barrister or solicitor in the UK, the only thing I can do is to go in the teaching sector, like of professor, etc, for that too I have to complete Ph.D. So basically after completing LLB from India & after completing LLM from your university, what are career opportunities do I get?

Hi Div, We offer a specialist degree specifically for graduates of a non-law degree that may interest you, our 2-year LLB Law for Graduates. For this degree we require the equivalent of a 2:1 (Hons degree) which is usually above 60% for your BBA. Otherwise, we offer 3-year LLB Law degrees that may interest you provided you hold Indian Standard XII of 90% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 85% West Bengal or 90% Other State boards. For all of these undergraduate degrees, you would need to apply via UCAS with tips and information on this process here: Your Birmingham application - University of Birmingham I hope this helps! @@unibirmingham Well, that's great to hear, thank you so much for reaching out. Also wanted to inquire about how financial aid works for international students. Does the university give any form of need based or merit based financial aid to international students? Are there any international students who get to study on scholarship? Are there any other colleges in the UK that give aid? Would be very helpful if you answer this.

Hi, it depends on what your want to do with your legal degree. You may need to follow a UK Law degree, in which case our LLB for graduates programme may be most suitable. Alternatively, you would be eligible for one of our LLM programmes, which would specialise your knowledge and open up opportunities. To work at the Bar you will need a UK Law Degree, but to be a solicitor you will need to consider options for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam
