Can't believe he still has that vocal range. Impressive!
@ShomsPhotography4 жыл бұрын
can't believe you can't tell it was fake and done using the keyboard . ;) Had to cover his face every time to try to hide the fact. Still my all time fav song from the 80"s
@Vikki-Waiting-victoriagrace4 жыл бұрын
Shoms Photography no it wasn’t fake he’s been singing it live and acoustically recently and hasn’t stopped singing that note and notes that are higher live... thats one thing he has never done since the days in the 80s when tv companies made bands lip synch, their tours since 86 were always without backing track too , they fought against it in the first tour - they also do their own harmonies (Pal & Mags) incidentally I’m a music technician and vocalist too & saw them live 3 weeks ago
@ShomsPhotography4 жыл бұрын
@@Vikki-Waiting-victoriagrace i saw them live and seen him sing the acoustical versions and he can;t hit the high note any more. I can tell the difference between real and fake vocal effects. Still a great song
@Vikki-Waiting-victoriagrace4 жыл бұрын
Shoms Photography well i can say the same as its a job I’m trained in both vocals, mixing desk, PA’ing , studio and also digital effects that your eluding to. He’s sang it live all year including the gig i went to cant comment on what you were present at of course also a sampled voice played through a keyboard doesnt sound like a live or even ‘real’ vocal even still today (its just not how its Usually done) , you would here the difference using head phones and you cant, theres many artists that I’m a fan of which ive caught doIng that tho but still rate, bit in this instance its not the case. He sang acoustic a few months back which was live too I’m in contact with someone who was involved which i can vouch for. Unfortunate you heard something else somewhere but here he was live (Incidentally he didn’t cover his mouth every time)Makes no difference for us fans tho, wether it was bc he was ill at the gig your referrng to (although hes always previously just said ‘I’m ill but will try’ and has sometimes not done a good job bc he has integrity - so it seems odd if he didnt this time) we just love to watch a live band play live as they always have still even now, he has changed his singing style to accomadate the the HHAL set which i think us fans appreciate so we can still enjoy this project, so i will continue to enjoy and join everyone in complimenting them rather than anything else. That’s what I enjoy about this kind of forum mixing with like minded ppl not all of the set was flawless but no ive set is there were mistakes but I honestly dont care about that so I’m not going to get into it. Nice to chat tho :0).

Just astonishing how intact his vocals are. The guy is 60 for goodness sake! At this rate of ageing he'll live to about 135. Simply one of the greatest rock pop bands in history. Opening the concert with modified scenes from Commuter was a brilliant idea. I wish A-ha would hire Mike Patterson again now in 2020 to do some new animations of some A-ha's biggest concerts and biggest moments throughout time, and create an animated video montage. The time for something like that is very prime right now, and I think fans would eat it up and I think it would help get new fans, and that it would be an exceptional promotional piece that could be pulled from and used over and over again going forward. Gosh I wish I had just 5 minutes to sit down with A-ha and explain this idea to them. I think they would love it.

@ Mahesa Lingga he actually meant he’s glad Morten does NOT do that. You read it incorrectly and people are agreeing with you, lol
@Mobile-Journalism4 жыл бұрын
It is unclear what he is really doing in those peak falsetto moments. In every critical performance moment, He crouches. He covers his mouth and the body language emotes. No 60-year-old guy can hit those notes. That is biology and we all know and accept that reality. I love that he is a showman and the act is compelling enough to delight us all. The soft ambience of the actual note and ghost reverb rising up make you believe still has it. And why not? We all love the hook. God bless.

Outstanding performance. They are those rare few that have not lowered the key of their hit (or hits). Some bands or musicians tend to do that sometimes when playing live. And that for me is somewhat annoying. I get that our voices sometimes change with time, or it could due to a health issue. But these guys, especially lead singer still has his vocal range even after nearly 35 years later. I was 5 going on in 1985, and vaguely remember how new this was.

Everything ages in our bodies Eric. Unfortunately vocal cords too.Add the overuse of them and not keeping a good health(smoking, drinking). The timbre of Morten's voice has change too over the years. But still he has a great great voice. I think he shouldn't worry so much about trying to hit the 100% correct hertz of each note though.The audience doesn't have the good hearing of a musician to evaluate how damn right he can nail the exact notes.
