I just wish Gemmy actually put passion into making cool and high quality animatronics like they did in the 2000’s and early 2010’s

I think the problem is that some members of Gemmy's product development team are too scared to go back to doing classic life size dancing Halloween characters because they're afraid they won't sell nearly as well as some of the modern stuff. I mean, one of their company policies is that they create products based on whatever is trending and popular at the moment. Sure, it's worked sometimes, but it doesn't always pay off. Compared to what Tekky has done recently with the Bluetooth reaper band, that's a surefire indication that this general concept is timeless and still holds that same magic it did 20 years ago.

I completely agree with what you’re saying, I have the Oogie Boogie and I love him so much, he’s just so eye catching because of that fact that he sings, and that’s also why I really want to get the Lowe’s/Tekky Reaper Band this year, YOU CAN LITERALLY PLAY ANYTHING OUT OF THEIR SPEAKERS, anyways great video and I’m definitely subbing

I miss the old gemmy lifesizes besides the old license characters I wish I could afford them back then and now

I had this video in my watch later for a bit, I just got around to it. In the first few minutes of the video I was a bit skeptical as to where you would go but I’m glad I kept watching. As someone who has been collecting classic gemmy stuff for a little over half a decade I think that we definitely should see a return of these kinds of props. Not even just musical stuff, stuff with more quality hopefully (probably too much to ask for nowadays 😂) but maybe some more licensed stuff too. Gemmy called a lot of their 6 ft guys greeters for a reason. I think that they put a ton of effort into developing them, planning them and that sort of thing. But overall, I think that part of the magic that gemmy had was their connection to pop culture. Many tabletops of celebrities, and lifesizes inspired by or of existing characters. It was something people were familiar with. I think that if gemmy were to bring back some of their older ways of making these it would be changing for all of the stores and they would probably see a fair spike in sales. It would probably cost them more to make, manufacture and with the licenses and everything but overall I think it would be worth it.

Though it would be awesome for Gemmy to start producing dancing characters for Halloween again, I also fear that they’ll have that weird mech that the Home Depot grinch has which just pretty much ruins the animatronic.

yeah i do agree with you i would like to see more singing animatronics they are so entertaining and i do like to start seeing more ot them I'm not that big fan of the talking animatronics because they just talk and i feel like people and guests are just going to walk past it and have a animatronic said its going to eat you or steal your soul that's not something i would not put in a haunted house and specally like the clowns

I honestly felt that Gemmy was starting to lose their touch for a while now. Every time I think about gemmy my head goes back to the 99 to the 2004 era and I hold high regard to the pop culture series cause its my #1 all time favorite if they every bring that back i would be satisfied. Despite all of that i feel like lately their products have been repetitive with recent trends and lack of the "magical touch" like u said and it makes me a little sad that this is what is becoming of Gemmy. I still hold high regard of Gemmy industries but i really hope they get their game at least better than before

The musical animatronic were just so catchy whoever picked the songs on most of these items had a good taste especially for Michael Jackson
