It really really looks intriguing. The last installment was so disappointing. But this looks a tad bit thrilling..the horror element is an added advantage.

This reminded me a bit of Woman in black. Like the fact they change the title to Haunting in Venice -- it allows the audience to watch the movie without comparing it to the original Halloween Party. Can't wait to see it..though seems a bit too scary - LOL

Intriguing it may look - but it bears absolutely no resemblance to the source material, Halloween Party by Agatha Christie. (And an American Ariadne Oliver??)

Calling the plot now: Hercule Poirot's old friend sets up an elaborate prank to fuck with him, except an actual murder happens and he solves it. Add/subtract hallucinogenic drugs and his sanity being questioned for your preferred recipe.

The blonde lady's daughter was murdered by someone and then that same person kills the medium because she might potentially reveal who murdered the daughter since she can speak to the dead. I think the supernatural elements r just going to be unexplainable and not some sort of elaborate prank

You clearly have not seen many other renditions. I can easily name two that are far worse: Peter Ustinov and Alfredo Molina.
