A hike on Dartmoor and wild camp on Belstone Tor.

A night out on Belstone Tor with my Chinook 1P. As I had to be in Devon I thought why not pop onto the moor while I'm at it. Had a bit of a walk round looking for pitches for future camps before settling in for the night. The temperature didn't drop below 8 degrees C all night - this just after a few nights of freezing weather!

Always like a Dartmoor video. I had a walking pole disappear on Oke Tor one night, when I found it, on the other side of the rocks, it had bite marks in the handle, this i put down to Mr Fox 😁 my profile photo is on Oke Tor also. Keep hiking 👍

Another great video, really enjoyed watching. We love wild camping on Dartmoor and can highly recommend Belstone Railway Station cafe and the Mountain Bike cafe next to it, both do amazing full English breakfasts and there is safe, cheap overnight parking at the station too 😋

Brilliant thank you. The farm shop by Mole Avon does a great breakfast too and their sausage rolls are very good 😉. Must start being brave and go out in the winter next year, currently nursing a sprained ankle which is a pain but at least videos like yours brings lovely Dartmoor pictures to keep my spirits up 😊

An enjoyable camp in positively balmy conditions , well much better what I had to endure last week 🥶 Tent looked solid and well guyed out . TFS atb Dave Ps get a hat without or remove the logo on that one 😂

Yeah, the hat! An "emergency buy" after I lost my Rab beanie on Dartmoor. The logo is woven in so can't be removed unfortunately, but it is comfy. Thanks for watching. ATB, Roger

So glad you went back, saw your mat go on camera and was "NO!" and then you thankfully located it. So what you're saying is to get some free stuff I've just gotta go after you to Dartmoor and I should get some decent kit haha Hope you're all ok
