Done at Ashfield Summer Challenge 2024. I’ve been wanting to upload a full attempt because it's been a while, and I'm bored so I wanted to experiment with my editing. Doubt many will watch the whole video, but maybe some people will enjoy some MBLD ASMR lol.
Not PR or anything, but it was an interesting attempt and my best so far officially at 66 cubes. The venue was really hot with no AC and was by far the hottest conditions I've competed in. Sweat was accumulating in my goggles and dripping onto my shirt by the end, it was pretty gross. Considering this, pretty content with the result and confident about my upcoming attempts. Memo was possibly strong enough for PR, not sure if it was weak on the long term stuff or I was just tiring out by the end.
Kinda annoyed that I lost a 50 pointer because I attempted that UFL floating parity alg on the last cube, I simply locked up and got lost lol. It's okay though, I'm sure I'll start piling on the 50 pointers soon. Can't wait to nail 66 so I can move up, I'm still not even close to full speed with these splits.

Haha thanks man! Yeah I kinda just started doing only the splits and just kept having fun adding stuff lol. I wanted to include the indiviual pack exec times but it was too crowded looking.

Super cool video and attempt. Do you just trace at the same speed as regular 3bld right from your first pass? Your passes seem really fast but I imagine that would make it harder for the images to stick long term
@rowehess
@rowehess 3 күн бұрын
Yeah the first 2 passes are usually slightly slower than 3BLD speed and the last few reviews are slightly slower than that. Still quite fast though, but most of the trick to MBLD is having a good review system with well balanced spaced repetition.

new tech to decrease memo time: wear your blindfold the whole attempt very cool editing though in terms of properly seeing what's going on.

This is so cool, GJ Seems like you've improved a lot at your last review of 1-30 huh? Is it normally faster than the 3rd pass for you nowadays?
@rowehess
@rowehess 4 күн бұрын
Thanks! Yeah I’m starting to trust the big reviews more with practice, I used to go way faster on the third and super slow on the fourth but I’m noticing better accuracy when I try and keep them well balanced at a similar speed. The fourth pass is feeling easier and easier though, so it’s been slowly getting faster than the third.
