My son Seth and I took to the streets of Hasidic Williamsburg looking for the best potato knish ever. This was filmed what feels like a lifetime ago and I put it on the back burner. Today I'm sharing this little peek with you all.

@@FriedaVizelBrooklyn I totally think you should do a food rating/comparison of the foods in Williamsburg with location info.... One month it could be pizza, another knishes, another rugelach, etc. I think people would love to get some type of comparison or rating of the food. I'd love to try out good food at one of the places sometime depending on how you rate it.

As much as I enjoyed watching this fun video. I'm going to have to take issue with the verdict. I don't think it is fair to judge by eating 45 knishes within an hour. Even if the last one was the whole world's favorite, someone who is already 'knished out' won't be able to enjoy it. So thank you for introducing us to all these eateries, but let us all go taste for ourselves. And maybe we'll like all of them equally. Maybe post links to the online info of these stores so it will be easier for us to find them.

ב''ה, the secret is they're their own thing and just as good in their own way if you like them - it's like a boneless wings debate except both factory and handmade 'skin' are different and unique, are the factory flash-fried? - but you're rarely ever going to see a factory knish with fillings. You can microwave or bake at home and fry up some onions/mushrooms/what have you over one, of course. There are no knishes in Nevada except maybe at one of the casinos flying them in as "exotic" food.

Not a criticism, just an observation that in the UK we tend to say please, immediately after asking for an item, as Seth and yourself seem very polite generally, I am guessing that’s not a thing in New York or maybe more generally in America, on other content I have noticed Americans say we will have… instead of please can we have. I think it’s noticeable coming from the UK where it’s considered rude. Great vlog, really interesting. I would like to try knish.

It depends on where you live in the US. In New York and New Jersey, people are more direct in their speech. I live in Maryland, and in the Southern states it is very common to hear “please.” It would probably be unusual in a hectic place like Los Angeles or Chicago. But in the South and small towns everywhere in the U.S., people are more traditionally polite.
