One other question I have been meaning to ask is did you get a chance to test the big dastaco calcium reactor at the faster affluent speed above the 12 litre an hour test?, not related to the above but was curious tbh.

Yes I am vehemently opposed to typical refugium setups for being a detritus trap and a breeding ground for parasites, and overall a distraction to the main display that we look at everyday

@@ReefBuildersVideo Are rock based cryptic fuges anything anymore? Like a separate blacked out container filled with rock plumbed into the system? I remember a dude way back in the day in UK had one but I don't hear about them too often anymore.

I used to be a big proponent of RDP - reverse daylight photosynthesis - but I find that the pH can be maintained much higher by simply having the algae illuminated 24/7. I find my Chaeto completely outgrows any kind of nuisance algaes when I light it up day & night

I USED to try and chase the trace elements, and the numbers, but man now I mostly feed a variety of foods, calcium reactor, & AcroPower. Anytime I dosed traces, even minimally, ICP tests showed the numbers riding high.
