The way things were in the late 1950's. Tea and biscuits in the drawing room with a good coal fire stoked up. Love it. A bun in the oven,

Great show with a LOT of truths about the times, like when vic brings his new boss to his parents house and they go into the main room, my aunt lived in yorkshire and had a house she had a living room which she never used (only for weddings, funerals, christenings and christmas time).

Brilliant series, watched it back when it was broadcast and had a massive crush on Clive Wood.. thought he looked older than 21 though!

Joanne Whalley's twin peaks!

It was rather mean and thoughtless of Vic not to visit Ingrid in the eight weeks her leg was in plaster.

I've come to the conclusion that not only do most men and women fail to make each other happy, they actively make each other unhappy.

The girl playing Ingrid is the actress that played Cathryn of Aragon in the BBC's Wolf Hall. Still gorgeous.
