The brides maids all looked like that in the early 60s. My mum and dads bridesmaids looked just like them with the head dresses and the bouquets.

@peahirider999. This is not an open sewer in the street. Its just rainwater, as the street didn't have good drainage. This street was Waugh St. in Ancoats (the Beswick end) and the church was not the Cathedral (which is a couple of miles away). I'm sure some streets had open sewers in the 1800s in Angel Meadow and Ancoats, but this street had sanitation. Mark.
