The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
Audrey is a friendly, enthusiastic 7th-grade student in Rigby who recently began having leg pain. Her parents took her to doctors, and after a variety of tests, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma - an aggressive form of bone cancer.
Audrey has spent the past two months going back and forth to Salt Lake City with her mom for cancer treatment, including chemotherapy. She has many surgeries and appointments ahead of her as she deals with this diagnosis.
She has been in the hospital the past few weeks and was not expected to be home for Christmas, but late Friday evening she was released to return to eastern Idaho!
The East Idaho News elves made a last minute emergency trip to make sure Audrey could receive the gifts from Secret Santa. Watch the video above to see the surprise!

Cancer is a dreaded diagnosis for anyone but when it hits your child, it can be devastating. I'm so happy that Secret Santa gave them gifts that will take some of the financial stress and worry off of their minds. I pray she has a complete recovery.

Now this is dedication. Nate's family putting others before themselves, even on Christmas Eve. But then again, we have grown to expect nothing less from these fine people. I think when this time of year rolls around, Nate, his family, crew and Secret Santa have the best jobs in the whole world.

Thank you Secret Santa for helping take that financial load off their shoulders at this time of year, it’s a costly exercise when you are travelling for medical treatments, even more so when long distance. Those of us who are feeling sad and frustrated, because the Omicron virus has shut down many of our Christmas plans, need to count our blessings. @Ray & J's L.G.S given Nate’s job, there’s no doubt in my mind he has to get tested and is vaxxed already. I know that doesn’t mean he couldn’t be Asymptomatic and might pass it on to others, but he probably also does an antigen test daily.
