I love the realistic "yeah, we've been here 2 years & stuff id functional " view. We've been in our house 3 years. We have no wardrobes still (metal clothes rails), we also have not unpacked all our boxes yet. It took me 8 months to frame & hang some photos. People should be more honest about their lives & I really appreciate this video. Life gets in the way of progress sometimes, and as long as you can manage in the space you have - that's all that matters. ❤❤

Love the house tour! Speaking of you living in your house for 3 years... We're coming up on 8 years in our house (how?!) and there are still rooms we haven't painted or updated since we moved in 😅 It's easy for the years to sneak up on you when a space is "fine" and livable. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Everything will fall into place in due time. I love all the updates you've made, especially the wallpaper in the entryway!

I also wait for three kings day, which is the Epiphany and then it comes down a little by little after that. I missed the lights in the evening because it’s still dark early, but I just light some candles and it’s all good.

I love your house. Every time I watch your videos I get inspired to deal with areas of my home that need some organizing and decluttering. Thank you for the motivation and encouragement. I also miss my lovely Christmas decorations but I do find that when I take them down there is a certain amount of satisfaction in seeing things “back to normal”. Although I tend to leave one or 2 things out for a couple of weeks longer. Mostly candle holders or a festive bowl. And I’ve decided that twinkle lights can be left out year round.

Love the house! A full bath on the main level is very important for resale. I wouldn’t worry about the pendant lighting in the kitchen. You have plenty of good lighting and I think pendant light would make it look too busy with the ceiling

Everything in your house is cozy, peaceful and beautifully decorated. You have done an amazing job of making everything function for your needs and that’s what it’s all about. I love all the ways that you have used your Alfa Storage Systems… if only I had invested in those years ago. You make it all seem so easy to change them up to according to how your spaces change. It’s all so beautiful… and those (can’t remember the name) fake windows!!! Those are over the top amazing!!! AND, I certainly understand you being sad to take your decorations down… I personally think your trees are elegant but oh so simple. The are all the perfect size for the spaces you have them in. I’m sure you enjoyed many cups of coffee while sitting and enjoying your trees all lit up. Happy new year.

I found 2 things I want today! The idea of shelves that are hung in your bedroom closet are perfect, and the tall, narrow closet by the toilet is very brilliant, especially handy and could replace my little, ugly green one I have. Thank you for the tour, love your lighting in the basement, too.

Yay, home tour ! I had planned to put down most of the decorations last Monday (Epiphany is generally celebrated on the second Sunday after Christmas, and the Nativity scene stays until the 2nd of February). However... they’re still up. BUT the storage containers have moved from the storage unit into the flat (... which makes it a bit more messy for now. Oh well.) ❤

Get a syringe used to give shots to a cow, put wallpaper paste in it. Stick it into the bubbles of your wallpaper, squirt some of the paste in the bubble, then smooth it down. My dad used to hang wallpaper for a living.

Loved this! My whole bottom floor of my house has no windows except a large bay window in the living room! I had no idea those led windows were a thing! You have just changed my life 😂 PS your tub wall is totally giving wavy-tile wall 😉

Love your hone is very spacious I bought mines 4 years ago and still details have not been done. my home is from 1940 but is storage is a challenge. also my basement is not finished and it very tedious. love your basement aas well. congratulations.

Oh my do I have comments & questions. First, I do love me a skinny tree. It's not ugly. Second, cute slippers and what brand & where are they from? Where is the console under your television from? Where is the beautiful chandelier over your dining table from? Also, the round white plate/tray on your dining table? And lastly where is the white plant stand with wooden legs from? Another comment now I’ve watched the tour - thank you ! Perfectly Perfect Homes are somewhat intimidating. Yours is neat-yet-lived-in. Loved it ! Will you ”make over” the downstairs entryway at some point? (Not sure you plan to, mind you, since it seems set up for what you need - room for the bike, garden shelf, Clover hooks ; I’m merely curious). This is so weird because I was thinking about this just last night lol! They can most definitely hear me (but their bedroom is on the 3rd floor) but they are incredibly kind and supportive! They've definitely come to some concerts and are music lovers and tell me they enjoy their free concerts every week 😂

Love your home! I don't want anything to happen to your beautiful frame TV though--a mantle looks great but it's also functional and deflects heat that can damage your TV without one.

I agree! We did have a blower installed in the fireplace unit when we had it serviced to blow the heat into the room and it significantly reduced the amount of heat that is able to reach the tv. Plus, it heats up the room more!

Hi Kay - loved the tour and the authenticity of an imperfect space (which we all have, whether we want to admit it or not!) Any chance you'd be willing to draw a floor plan (either as a pdf download or even just a piece of paper you hold up to the camera)? I love designing interior spaces for function and organization and having the floorplan really helps me visualize the flow of a home. I have so many philodendron plants, probably 7 or 8 that grow so well. I can't toss the cuttings when they get overgrown. I've given some away but no one wants them anymore. What do I do? Some are in dirt and some are in water. They all grow like crazy. Help!!!!

Hubby is only going along with it because I am the initiator LOL. I might discuss more on the vlog channel in a few months, but long story short is, the cost-benefit analysis didn't work out (especially after lockdown) and new research shows NO amount is really safe or good for you. It messed up my sleep and I felt terrible in the middle of the night and the next day even after minimal amounts over the last couple of years. I enjoy it but I never recovered enough after even one glass of wine to sing well the next day or be motivated to exercise, so...I'm stopping altogether.
