To be fair, the author wrote this years before multiverses became prominent in cinema and TV. Not like it was an original concept by any means at the time, but I wouldn't really count this among the deluge of multiverse coming out recently.

And they still handle it better than most stories nowadays. It's used as it should be, a plot device that gives the characters opportunities to see themselves and their world from a different perspective, in a way that informs their future decisions. Not just for lame cameos, retcons, and nonsensical plots.... although the comics did use it for cameos.

To clarify, he was not trying to do a Kang thing. He wanted to share all information and technology across all dimensions to solve all issues everywhere, pretty much the exact opposite of what Kang is trying to do.

Exactly that’s what I liked about this I hate in other shows when the evil version is a like 1000% over the top evil they have to look Evil laugh evil smile evil evil music but this evil mark is just mark with a different morality

It's probably just because we aren't used to seeing it, but Mark seems weirdly more evil than Omni-Man in the alternate dimension. Mark's version of "compassion" seems more coldblooded than Nolan's indifference.

I feel so unbelievably bad for Mark and Debbie, I’ve never wanted to give 2 characters a hug this badly. For Mark it’s not just his father but his hero, for Debbie it’s the love of her life and the father of her child. Also, learning that according to Angstrom Levy, in most universes Invincible actually joins Omni-Man and conquers earth is actually terrifying. Especially after seeing how in the first alternate universe we saw Mark becomes as much of a cold blooded sociopath as Nolan.

Loved your reactions! At 6:27, the reason Mark didn't stop them was because they were villains in season 1 who nearly killed him, which probably caused a lot of trauma. But he left because he didn't want his emotions to take control and kill them.

The way I understood it was that he would help all timelines by just giving them knowledge, like find cure for cancer, in another timeline bring it here, find something we found out and give it to the other timeline, the reason he had so many copies was so he could learn everything.

In defense of the multiverse plot-line starting to cook, This is how the original comic plot plays out and the show is simply sticking to that as far as I can tell 👏 Depending on your perspective this is either really good timing or really bad timing in terms of superhero storytelling, but either way it’s kinda wild how well every thing lined up

The author wrote this around the time that many crossover and multiverse storylines were coming out. That’s why the upcoming arc with Levy is quite short and not as delved into in the comics. I’m excited to see what they do since it’ll be different. 👌

While the brain scramble makes sense, if you look further into why he immediately becomes enraged at Invincible. A majority of the Angstroms had fear/trauma due to bad experience with Invincible. So when Invincible arrived, several of the Angstrom's were probably triggered and filled with anger/hate. Upon the machine not completing its brain transference, prime Angstrom's brain was scrambled. And then he was probably overrun with the negative, angered memories above all else, that the prime Angstrom's persona was gone and he become a culmination of the Angstroms that hate Invincible.

In the comics it’s eventually explained that the destruction of Angstrom’s brain wave machine sent a psychic shock through the multiverse that killed every version of Angstrom but the one who survived here. I assume his massive weird brain or him being in the “eye” of it was the reason he survived.
