When tightening up a threaded bottom bracket try putting a plastic bag between the splines and the tool. It helps them engage a bit more tightly, and if you do slip it can help protect your paintwork

This is honestly the best bike build video I've watched. Mostly for the reasons others have mentioned - the descriptions of the components and procedures, with just enough detail to be intersting, but not so much to make it boring. Congrats on the new bike. It looks amazing... and that weight - WOW!

Congrats to this awesome build. As you mentioned yourself, you have build it with your own hands and effort. So any top of the shelf superbike ever doesn't come close to your bike. The build process itself was a pleasure to watch. I love how calm (at least in the final cut 😉 ) you work on your bikes.

Big Respect!! One of your best vids yet. Great balance between tech and tips. For me, the trickiest bits we're rear brake bleeding and lever reach adjustment. For some reason, one kept one screwing the other. BTW, I spent the cash a few years back and got that Shimano tool - a brilliant tool and worth every penny. Follow the mantra: 'right tool for right job'. Superb choice of bike and components. A lightweight bike does feel different. But like you said - STFU😂 - just get out there and enjoy it. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👍👏👏👏

Awesome build! Nice paint! Love the multi-color. 🤩 Bike looks SWEET. There is nothing like building it yourself. Perfect connection between rider and bike. Paying attention to every tick, click, and gram 😉 Though I almost shed a tear when the BB tool slipped, that’s is my biggest fear. 😢 But where there is a ding, there is a future upgrade waiting to happen.

I've been waiting for this video for so long and it didn't disappoint. I waited until all the family were occupied, I sat down with my headphones on and drank in the whole experience in one thirst quenching mouthful. My observation the tools you use to assemble the bike are getting slicker (even though you said you don't like spending money on tools) they just make it easier. Scales on a bike build should be mandatory, just so you can be aware of how heavy all the parts you are adding weigh. I also agree everything you need, pedals, Garmin mount, bottle cages should be fitted before the final weigh in. Well done this is a super piece of work. You should be very proud. Are there awards for films like this, is this a category of film, what category is it?

Awesome video! that Shimano tool is my personal favorite at the shop. BTW, there is a bolt that takes a flat head screw driver on the end of the tool that you can tighten to increase the clamping force on the hose! So when some oil inevitably gets on it, the hose doesn't start sliding backwards. Love your thinking with the carbon paste tho.
