Me too. That's what I love about this film. It was so far ahead of its time. All the lessons and values that were instilled in the film is what makes it so special. Having empathy and compassion for others. Being forthright and steadfastfast in your beliefs. My favorite scene in the whole film is when Sarah goes to the market and she's about to take a bite of the pastry and then sees others in four more need than her and offers it to them and then in turn takes the rose and gives it to another in order to comfort them. That scene is so far ahead of its time for someone so young in a children's film.

It’s like people handle death in different ways, but when Sara was lead to believe her father was dead, she felt like she was quick in taking it in since ever since he left, she was determined to remain hopeful, but when Ram Dass sent her the snow, he encouraged her to be hopeful again.

Many Miss Minchin's in "A Little Princess" movie history adaptations but there's something about Eleanor Bron's performance that remains the scariest and cruelest in my opinion. Which is a compliment to her acting skills! Terrible thing is that I had a teacher so much like her in real life.

@@saklee1777 it’s not stupid. Maybe now but back then people were poor, and the streets weren’t safe, so it wasn’t uncommon for a child to live in their own world. It’s what saved her life
@mibukdesjarlais5343 жыл бұрын
@@saklee1777 -You must be a descendent of Ms.Minchin.- 😂 Anyway jokes aside but when they used the saying that "all girls are princesses" they probably mean that as in all girls are strong and determined people that are not afraid nor ashamed to have big dreams and that's exactly how Sarah was. Despite all the hell that Ms.Minchin put her through she still stood her ground and never gave up on her dreams as well as stood up for herself when her father wasn't there like the badass princess she is. But it's not just Sarah whose strong like that in fact all ladies are strong like that. This message honestly makes a lot of sense especially during that time period where women were put through a lot of shit and rarely got a say in anything in a male dominated world. Even to this day society is still like that towards woman unfortunately.
