After the report is published up to the service, the connection to the Sharepoint site is using your (the developer) credentials forever? That doesn't sound right. Does it use the credentials of the person who is running the report? In that case then the report users would all need to be given permissions to the Sharepoint site. That doesn't sound right either. How do you manage connections that require user authentication?

Hi! Great trick but I'm having an issue when exporting the report to PDF from PBI service. Images don't appear!!!! You can see them on the report but they disappear when exported to pdf!!!

FYI the old way of doing this works for export to pdf/etc and also works for paginated reports. That way is to convert the image to Base64 binary string and then PBI will render it. Limits are on file size to about 30kb else it truncates image. I came here hoping MS had resolved this with a more straightforward solution.

Hello, the image could be view in PowerBI. But when you download to PDF it is the broken image that shows as it is in the desktop version. How can that be rectify.

problem is that some images dont show or flicker. it is not that easy for all pictures - at least with me some appear well, others flicker and others dont even appear.

"If they still don't load, go to SharePoint online explicit and then reload the report". This is not insane amazing. It's clunky as hell and unreliable. It's challenging enough to get users to consume reports and making users jump through hoops just to make a report work doesn't help.
