A Lockheed Constellation in need of saving, again!

This is Lockheed L-1049H Constellation N6937C. It's been a cargo freighter for many years up to the 1970's. It was saved once from the scrappers blade by the people that founded the National Airline History Museum in Kansas City Missouri. However, depsite a $0 Rent from the city, the current FBO operator Signature Aviation is trying to change the rules and either get "Back Rent" from the Museum or to toss them out so they can make money renting the airport's largest hanger.

I wanted to visit this museum when passing thru K.C. in July of 2022. I saw the TWA Museum across the field and stopped there first, where I was told that the Airline History Museum was closed, supposedly due to non-payment of rent. I think that if the Airline History Museum is not going to reopen, they should donate any TWA-marked aircraft to the TWA Museum. Hopefully they would then be able to find a hangar to store those aircraft.

I have been to the museum and seen the Connie. Along with other artifacts, in the building. I T was a great visit.

My Uncle and Great Uncle both worked on "The Connie" while they were employed at Lockheed.

This also complicates a plane they had acquired a few years back. There is a DC-8 that is registered to save a Connie inc that hasn’t left ILN. I wonder what it’s fate will be

Shame on Signature Air! I understand they are running a business but seriously they should also support 100% the keeping of this iconic plane in history! As usual it's all about money! Shameful

Something wrong with the modulation. Some syllables cut out and are hard to distinguish.

@@raoulcruz4404 Next video has the volume increased another 50%, so hopefully that gets rid of the modulation teh filter I am using produces. I have an unfortunate Hum in teh room next to me that the microphone catches, and the filter I use is the best at cutting it out, but it look slike it cuts out other things as well. Darn it all to heck!

That was the name reported in the news at the time. might just be a difference between the name at the FBO and the name of the overhead corporate offices.

I honestly thought about calling for that exact stance by pilots. However, as unfair as this situation is, I try to keep this channel as Apolitcal as possible.
