It’s everything, cause what used to be bright colors and a sense of peace when you were younger, is now more of a dull colored world full of harm, play places are now jail cell looking places, and if you even want to find any shred of childhood…it’s been replaced by KZfaq Kids who much rather scream bout Cocomelon and Freddy Fazbear rather than play with toys and all..

The last six or so images, coupled with the songs (well, minus the last one), feel--not like dying--but transitioning out of life. Can't help but parallel this with the comments, mourning a childhood and time period that has been lost to us all.

This compilation helped me understand that I was sad about something. I guess I was putting on a tough face, but it’s alright to be a little bit sad when something disappointing happens- so long as you don’t let it turn into self-indulgent dispair.

i've never been to any of these places and they look totally different from the places I grew up in as a child. I don't experience a sense of loss or nostalgia as strongly but more of the feeling of time passing and my childhood ending. I guess some memories are the same all around the world.

I always hated everyone around me. It was hard to make friends, it was hard to find peace or happiness. I often lived as a runaway, trying to escape to something better. But I soon realized that there is nothing better, it’s just one form of hell being replaced with another. I never really had a childhood. I’ve never really felt like a child. So looking at these somewhat iconic scenes of the past, many of which coincide with close memories I have of my own past, hits me in a peculiar way. It really is a liminal sort of feeling, halfway between having a life and chasing one, between being real and feeling dead. Like a ghost of myself wandering through memories that I do technically have somewhere in there, but they’re meaningless, because the memory is meaningless, because the basis of the memory was meaningless. We’re all lost and drifting searching for something that doesn’t exist until that final merciful day when we don’t have to deal with any of this shit anymore. I don’t even know what to do with myself without the constant horrible pain. This playlist attempts to find that position and force you to face it, and I still don’t really know what to do. All I can do is watch, listen, remember, and remind myself that I’ve still probably got about fifty years of this shit. For those of you who have happy childhoods, I’m glad you were able to experience that. But that wasn’t for me. All this makes me feel like an alien looking into the past.

Dreamcorp. - false memory and the image with it invokes feelings which seem as if they go beyond any ordinary human emotions. It really is surreal, as are many other tracks, but that’s probably my favorite.

I'm a little confused about the last image. The last 5 images or so all pointed towards a transition into the afterlife. Hell the image before literally looked like you were in heaven, or something before heaven. And even the image before, a door into some kind of bright, freeing space, implying the afterlife. Unless a suburb made of inflatable houses is supposed to be heaven?
