Thanks Tony, Its probably one of the best buys for me in a long time. Wasn't sure at first. All you need to be aware of is the initial settings. Most of the time with a sub 12 ft/lbs rifle you can just click on the UK settings, but if you have a lead free, or really light pellet, then you may need to stick it on the US settings, or the extra velocity doesn't get picked up. With sub 6 ft/lbs pistols the lower velocity is another one to look out for, you may have to change the settings to suit the speed. What makes it so good is the size and the no worries about it being light enough to read the speed, so they can be used indoors or out without the need for extra lights.

Glad you managed to sort out your compressor. When I purchased my compressor I thought at the time that if anything did go wrong it would fall on me to sort it, knowing how much postage costs are to China. Its a shame that someone in the UK hasn't set up a business for servicing and repairing these gear value compressors. Hopefully someone will eventually.

Yes, I agree. I wasn't sure at first because of setting the parameters for different pellet settings at the start. With light weight pellets at UK spec it didn't always register, unless turned up for higher speeds, but once I realised this, it's never skipped a heart beat. One of my best buys over the years, along with my New Warrior 300 bar compressor.

I have found that for me the ideal distance is around 3 inches behind the barrel. With a break barrel or underlever you can rest the chronograph on a bench, table etc and just make sure that the barrel is obove the chronograph and 3 inches plus in front of it.

Yes, it doesn't have to be underneath, it can be anywhere; above or at the side if you don't have it underneath.

I haven't had any problems with my android phone with the FX Chrono. What does tend to happen though is that FX updates the software every now and then, without you knowing, which can be a pain, because the interface changes from what you get used to. Overall though, I couldn't be without it. It is a lot better than a standard chronograph with multiple parts to fit together, plus you don't have to worry about what the light is doing, as it works through radar.

You wont be dissapointed. It's a lot easier than the usual chronographs that need setting up in line with the rifle and rellying on enough daylight to make it work. I loved my Cauldwell, but it needed to use a tripod, which fell over a couple of times in the wind, plus the software had to be wired to a compatable ear piece on a mobile phone or tablet. The good thing with this one is the portability and the fact that it can be used while shooting at targetst at different positions on the range, due to it being strapped to the end of the barrel or shroud.

@@allstarshootinguk3222 it’s nothing to do with which model you have, it’s the app. My app is on iOS so maybe if your on android they haven’t added it yet or maybe you need to update the app as it was added quite recently.

@@davidaearthy my phone has updated and also my app as well. So will just be iOS. I don't really need the 2 anyway really and you can just change and look after stored and switch between them all 😁
