When you get the 2 loops lineup but still isolated, I definitely suggest the guagemaster dual input controller, I use it and it's very robust and great quality www.gaugemasterretail.com/magento/gaugemaster-gmc-d.html I'd comes in both ac and dc current options and it's a lot cheaper than going full DCC digital control

Percy/Thomas are 30 bucks a piece if you get them from the right guy, and the track is cheap. I’d say go for it.

That’s a Peckett W4 Class, an old industrial saddle-tank type that is produced by Hornby in model form.

Nice to see you went with Kato track. Eventually you may want to look at a DCC setup. Those even come in bluetooth versions now.

I used atlas 22" radius and 18" HO radius curved track for my layout and fit the 8x4 very well! I've also desired to try out KATO N scale products when i get my bachmann narrow gauge engines

Looks very nice. When I inherited my cousin's train set/layout, he used sandpaper for the ground/grass. He also had a small additional table for a siding, possibly the train yard. Lastly, do you plan to secure the tracks to the table?

I've got one of those blue pecketts they are lovely. The layout is looking good I'd recommend a computer program called SCARM it's really good for planning layouts and its free.

my ho table is about the same size as yours mine is 4 by 9 1/2 and yours is 4 by 8 this really helps me know what size my table is going to be (i have not expanded the table yet)

If you add a road, I recommend using Magnorail for cars/ Bertie.

Kato does make an operating signal its fixed to a piece of track but its fully functional

do you plan on adding terrain? (with foam, plaster, etc) and if you do, i suggest you make a small elevated area (i.e mountain) in the middle of your layout for the narrow gauge tracks.
