Have you ever been in a city or town and wondered what some of the buildings look like on the inside? Does the outside appearance draw in your attention? Well that happened with me and i was lucky enough to get a tour inside the building. The building i'm referring to is none other than the Scranton Cultural Center, also known as the Masonic Temple. This iconic building has striking features and is rich in history. So come along with me as we tour this magnificent place. Enjoy

That mansion is at least 500 yrs old , the star forts in the ceiling in the beginning was the tale tale sign for me , I know you didnt know what you were seeing but I promise that mansion was not built in 1926 . It's so Awesome to see this stuff survived were so many have been destroyed. Tartarians knew how to build , exquisite architecture there is no detail left out , and you find this all across the earth.

My family have been Masons for numerous generations. The women are Eastern Star and I was. Job’s Daughter. It’s so secret that no one can talk about it. Our Masonic Lodge in Kansas was filled with costumes from mid evil times. Doors up near the ceiling with no access. I really enjoyed this

Beautiful video. Great job on zeroing in on high points, esp the pineapple symbolism on the ceilings. If you go back, I hope you are able to see the backstage area and dressing rooms below. Also, the pocket doors the tour guide explained to seperate events going on are functional and worth seeing as they are brass and leather. I may have missed any mention of noteables and famous personalities and entertainers that have performed there. The true gem of our city. Liz

Ohhh! You've made me so homesick. I've been there for several different activities and I sat here screaming, "I've been there". The last time I was there, was for a Thanksgiving Dinner in 2010. Thanks for bringing back some beautiful memories. Now I'm in Kansas and I look forward to coming back "home"! Like Dorothy, I want to go home. Then I can say, "Toto, I'm not in Kansas any more." Because no matter where you go, there's still no place like home.

Majestic ...... The founders really thought "outside the box " and the architect created a masterpiece . It is to Scranton's ( or someone"s )credit that it is so well cared for and has not been allowed to fall into disrepair. I did not realize when a structure is put on the National Historic Register ..that repairs cannot be made "on the spot " . I'm sure it costs more and takes longer to be so authenic to the original but it does make sense to insure it stays true to its history. My favorite room was also the room with the blue ceiling lights. The theater is amazing ...( I also saw a play in Radio City Music Hall... a thousand years ago on our senior class trip ...have no memory of the theater at all ...must not have made a very big impression to this country girl .LOL) Thank you for sharing this wonderful building with us .

Ask her about the red room and the grand masters suites . and the prisoner's room in the basement looks like a dungeon . the meeting room she mentioned isnt the meeting room the meeting room is on the 4th floor with a huge circle vintage table and suits of armor on every corner . i was 9 and used to prank with the secret knock then dip into a door in the wall . that place was fun and scary at 9 years old . the reason for me being there is my dad was a single dad and he did maintenance soon after my grandpa joined the maintenance team .

I hope to take the train to Scranton (from D.C.) and view this outstanding Temple. A park guide at the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia noticed my Masonic ring and ask me if I had seen the temple there. I said: "no, but I bet you have a really nice one". She said it's more than "really nice" - you've got to go see it". So we did, and it was beyond my imagination. Pennsylvania Masons obviously have a deep love for the craft... 🌿 📐 🌿

My Dad, and Uncle's were Mason's, my Mom, Aunt's,cousins were in Eastern Star and I was in Job's daughters. I would have been in Eastern Star when I turned 18. I really despise alot of what's said about the Mason's on the internet. They do not know what they are talking about. I grew up in this, and it is not at all what people say about the Mason's. I took an oath in Job's daughters and to this day I have kept my oath. This has brought back a lot of great memories with my family and, my favorite cousins. I recognized the symbols as if it was yesterday. Thank you JP for another great journey of my past. This was amazing!💜 My parents are buried in the Mason part of the cemetery. I lost my Dad in 2012, and still cry for Dad and my Mom.❤️💜. Thank you again JP! This was Amazing!

Watching more of your video makes me more proud of my brothers. Been a member since 1983. Almost 40 years ha. Bunch of good guys. Took the wife to grand lodge one time. She said we weren't scary, just a bunch of old bald white fat guys. Not our fault for knowing where the best place to eat is. She enjoyed it also. Guy made me mad once, said old fat white guys didn't count anymore. Ok I am not slim, can't take back my whiteness, although my family has been here so long i should be on the indian roles, who knows. Grandmother was probably 1/4 then grandpa had some indian ancestors, his family came here in 1621, almost beat the pilgrims, ha. Back to the masons, in the corner of the state where I live, the first public school was founded by them in Greenfield Missouri. Masons have shaped our country, what it was, not what it is becoming. I will repeat what we need are more true and loyal master masons. Society would be better.

I knew someone would try the knocker! I would have been right behind him doing the same. This Masonic Temple is far larger than ours but the Scottish Rite here is beautiful. It is also haunted! My mom and I were sitting at a round table with 6 others. I am very open to the paranormal. My spoon slid across to the edge of the table and landed on the carpet. I had a wine glass in my right hand and my left hand was in my lap. The person to my right was up at the bar. The chap who was doing the announcements turned to look behind him as I heard a lady's whisper.....

Thank you JP for the wonderful tour & filming it so well it was like we were there in person. It's a beautiful building but at--43:10-- "Wow !" And like you said the theater was amazeing. I can't get over that the rug was $6,000. & to ship it was $6,000. Why so much to ship? Insurance maybe. Interresting that they would have so many 'hidden stairs', also would not doult there are hidden rooms as well. To raise that huge amount of money to build the building is mind blowing and the building was built so quickly. What would it come too in today's money .....then a few yrs latter 1929 stock market crash. Very nice video! 👏🖒👏

Manley Palmer Hall 33° Freemason and Author of the Masonic Hand Book: The Secret Teachings of All Ages: "I hereby promise the Great Spirit Lucifer, Prince of Demons, that each year I will bring unto him a human soul to do with as as it may please him, and in return Lucifer promises to bestow upon me the treasures of the earth and fulfil my every desire for the length of my natural life. If I fail to bring him each year the offering specified above, then my own soul shall be forfeit to him. Signed..... { Invocant signs pact with his own blood } " The Lost Keys Of Freemasonry: "When The Mason learns that the Key to the warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the Mystery of his Craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands and before he may step onward and upward, he must prove his ability to properly apply this energy." page 48 Manley P. Hall Albert Pike, 33-degree Freemason and author of Morals and Dogma: "Lucifer, the Light-Bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the light, and with its splendors intolerable blinds feeble, sensual or selfish Souls? Doubt it not!" Pike has a statue in Washington DC. The Freemasony Cult is what allows the mediocre and the bottom feeders in society to rise to the top, getting all the cushy jobs and lording it over the rest of us, while the truly deserving, intelligent and creative people get used, trampled on and shoved aside. Freemasonry has its roots in the same sources as the mystery religions of the world that brought on the wrath of the Hebrew God of the Old Testament. And the Craft is now preparing the way for the revival of the same religion of the ancients. Albert Pike was even more direct when he stated, "The Blue Degrees are but the outer court of the Temple. Part of the symbols are displayed there to the initiate, but he is intentionally misled by false interpretations. It is not intended that he shall understand them; but it is intended that he shall imagine he understands them. Their true explication is reserved for the Adepts, the Princes of Masonry." The Mason, however, may be unaware of much of what is taught by the Lodge. The Mason who is uninitiated in the higher degrees is deliberately deceived by his brethren. Pike says that "truth is not for those who are unworthy." He goes on to say that "Masonry jealously conceals its secrets, and intentionally leads conceited interpreters astray." Now let the trolling begin........

It was all amazing. My mother’s parents were in the Masonic temple and eastern stars. I don’t know much about these groups or what exactly their affiliation was.

Do you want to really know what the masons and eastern stars are about? The common member of these groups are mostly normal people, they aren't intiated into the higher ranks. Now if your selected or groomed over time to be trusted and usable to their order then you may be given further knowledge..it's very compartmentizaled like the government or military. Unfortunately for your parents, I have to tell you they were involved with a nefarious group. On the surface like many other secret societies or cults the masons provide community support and services, sort of like any organization. But unfortunately when you go deeper into their workings their true mission is much more dark. They are not a religious group although they try and act like a church organization..they are a controlling agency for local and state level activities, also county and nation wide. Why do you think they are in every major or minor city across the country? They believe in old world religions like Kabalah and Egyptian mysterious religions. They worship the sun and pyramid as a guiding light of their civilization. They are more similar to druids or pagans in their believes as as well as Mormonism and scientology..but they have their own spin on it .they have their own law guidelines and societal structure that they strictly adhere to, if you were to betray them at a high ranking level , most likely you would be dealt with extremely severe or killed imo. It is truly a hidden organization who plot and control many of this countries greatest events of project's, good and bad. They believe in duality good and evil as one, and to be honored the same .yes they are smart and powerful and may have access to information not given to the common person, but trust me they are wicked as well. They are a part of all major conflicts wether starting them or continuing them. They are not positive people in whole, they are rulers and elitist that only benefit their higher ranks and leaders. Your family most likely was just a part of their machine, just like a foot soldier is to the army or senator is to the government , doing their bidding. Sorry to tell you this but it's mostly true , look it up yourself. They are not your neighborhood frienda they are weirdos in the highest rank keep your children away please. This is my opinion do your own research.. godspeed

All the symbols have meanings. My dad was a 33rd degree..Anthony Lodge (OH)...Scottish Rite. All temples face south. Notice at 19:03 the image in the fireplace? This what most people who do not know, believe is satanic. They didn't show but maybe 1/4 of the building. They showed the public areas. So pretty!

Very impressive building. Absolutely love the architecture! I have a couple of friends b ds who were Free Masons a b d eventually became Shriners. Aparently that is a pre requisite. But, I can say with assurance their facility was nothing as impressive as this amazing and historic building! Fascinating tour...very enjoyable video Jay!

To correct the woman giving the tour, yes Masons are not a religion but it is not true that we "believe" in all religions. But we complement religion in the sense that we accept men of all faith we as a fraternity do not dictate to the member what faith they should believe. That being said Athiest can not be members. What you have is someone that is not a Mason reading what is they have heard about the fraternity and 95% of it is false information or misleading.
