Underdog stories happen time to time, so its not defying the odds. If you just manage club the correct way for years. They can get then promoted multiple time to higher division, while reckless way buying football players randomly without caring to take look on who is actually good and who is not will give your club no succes and get you relegated back to lower divisions.

Probably over-stating how small Luton are. This is their 4th stint in the top flight of English Football, with their last one being 13 years (1982-1996). 2006-09 was just a nightmare run taking them from Championship to Conference, including 40 points being deducted from them (30 in L2, 10 in L1), followed by the National League being the biggest pain to get out of

I hope Luton stay up. In their game against Liverpool i grew rather fond of them. Their spirit and old fashioned stadium was a breath of fresh air. And i loved how they didn't try to make a whole new team like many other teams do when the get promoted. They just stayed with their main players and play football like they always have. And they have quality. Their ability to play through a press was really impressive.
