A Real Madrid fan wakes from a 5 year coma! The year is 2018 and Real Madrid have just won a third straight UEFA Champions League with the help of Ronaldo, Bale and company. This confirms Real Madrid as the greatest football team in Champions league history. Barcelona won La Liga in 2018.
Fast forward 5 years and Real Madrid look a lot different than they did in 2018. Cristiano Ronaldo left along with Bale, Casemiro, Ramos and Marcelo but they have won two La Ligas and a champions league win in 2022. What will this Real Madrid fans reactiong be when he finds out everything that has happened in the last 5 years?

If they could get someone like that they would become of of the best teams again. They would have had that if they got Mbappé back in 2017 but they decided to get Dembélé and look how he turned out.

That 18/19 was the worst season I ever experienced as a Madrid fan, I still remember it fondly how our season ended in March and nothing was good, the only shining light was Benzema stepping up and Vini being the bright spark. After that season I never took any good season for granted. Loved this video Nathan, specially the celebrations 🤣

One note that should have been added was the amount of players that chose madrid over Barcelona. Vinicius rodrygo endrick and now Arda Guler. The last 5 years have been quite succesful ( 2019 was just a simulation and nothing important happened that year)

I don't know, I actually like the variety we had in the last couple of years in Europe. It was getting very stale (still is in Germany). While I did enjoy Barca and Real's dominance and peaks to the fullest, I also don't mind todays unpredictability with a lot of strong teams. Guess I'm the kind of guy who loves football regardless, as long as I get to watch some great performances.
