Ms Wendy, you made awesome dagger out this uneven mold ,loved the brilliant colors,needs a lot of patience to color this mold,which you did awesomely.As far as the visible edges and all,you managed to correct them,Noone can spot any mistake in it.Indeed a beautiful creation 💜💜💜

I think you did an amazing job. Even though the molds are not even, the part of sword with the horns is actually trying to replicate part of the design of the actual sword this is based on. The sword is Frostmourne from World of Warcraft (and other Blizzard games) and one of the skulls with the horns actually curl around guard. Just be aware that the sword design is an IP and I doubt that there were any licenses granted by the game company for the mold.

Hi Wendy...seems like either the 2 pieces are not meant to be put back to back and only used as applicaes or they sent you 2 of the same half instead of the mirror image...stay safe...press on 😎Joe

The barbs of the blade were in the right place to fit back to back ... but They just were wrong .. perhaps they messed up at the factory 😂

I'm told by my other half that this sword is called Frostmourne (the lich Kings rune blade) from the game World of Warcraft. He's a giant nerd!! 😂 those colours are really lovely, and we'll done for sticking with it! Xx

Those colors are really amazing! I think the sword looks pretty cool, too. I think it might be kind of cool to use just one half of the sword and mount it on a tray mold to hang on your wall. With only one half of the sword, you wouldn't have to worry about the two sides not matching.

They don't fit together because it is a pair of daggers that you hang on the wall for decor. But the piece still turned out great.

You saved it.. despite its determination not to be saved! The colors are beautiful and thanks to your tenacity we all got to see them. I had a similar experience this last Christmas. I was asked to make DnD dice for our Grandkids. Of course this request was done without the knowledge of the difficulty factor.😅 I’d never attempted dice but, I gave it a go.. without a Pressure Pot!😂 The mold came with what was basically a lid so, the #’s would imprint on that side. I only had the one mold to make 2 sets. Not only were there bubbles.. because they had no where to escape to.. the heat also had no escape. Which caused the lid to fuse to the mold.🙄 I spent forever trying to save that mold because I didn’t have enough time to order another one. Since then, I came across a great tip: (Crazy Glass Lady): put the entire mold with the cured pieces still in there, into hot water. Let it sit for a bit and voila! It will unfuse (spell check doesn’t think unfuse is a word.)😆 I really wish I had known that before!😅 Great job sticking with it Wendy!💜

I'm glad I did not try those dice. I tried a single dice mold and thought nope. I'm thinking with resin, the bubbles and imperfections would make the dice roll funny. I give you credit for making the dice. Good going.

Yeah I agree. I hate that sword too. But it is a cheapo mold, with an ugly baphomet on it. So what can you expect 🤔 those colors are stricking though. Thanks for sharing 😊

Mica powder hack! Use the small sponge eyeshadow applicators….they have some long that have applicators at both ends! The mica powder doesn’t fly around nearly as badly as using a brush!

Just a suggestion to be able to get use from the mold, you could pour one mold let it cure and then repour using the same mold and that way they will match up completely, maybe they intended it to be 2 different swords that are very similar, but it makes no sense if that was their intention why they made them 99% identical so it would fool people. Hope you are able to go back to your Temu order and leave a review on this mold to hopefully save others. Great job Wendy you made it look like nothing was ever wrong. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos for us ❤

I really should have said this in the video but somehow it was missed 😳 the blade has barbs on it on one side. So pouring 2 of the same, they would not fit at all sadly 😳 however I appreciate you thinking of a solution and yes they were sold for a one piece sword. Beautiful colors!! I will take this in account as well if getting 2 part moulds. I did see there at the end, it looked the the horns were wrapping around the handle to me, yet if that’s what it was meant to be, the face wouldn’t be on both sides. Extremely poorly made design. You did Amazing ❤❤❤

I think you did a great job. Nobody could have done better. I think it looks ok. Personally I'm more a teddy bear person rather then a sword type but I like knights of the round table sort of movies occasionally. Instead of going together, maybe they were meant to criss cross on the wall? Like you see in castles above a mantle. And the person making the molds just eyeballed it. I really like Lets Resin stuff. That's about all I buy. I've had some problem with cheap molds recently. Not from them. But molds are all different. Love your videos.

That’s a lovely comment to read 😀😀😀💜 sadly it was sold as a one piece mould which is the only reason I bought it. But I’m definitely more a cuddly puppy person than a knife thrower 😂😂😂😂 I do have some great moulds from them though, so was expecting better 😂😂💜

The end-result is beautiful, despite the difficulties. I wonder if the mold was actually a set for two separate swords? It would of course mean casting each piece twice, but they look symmetrical within each mold, so it might be the solution.

I love the colours in the mica colorshift but how easy are they to get in the uk as some lets resin items take some time to be able to get in the uk 😌 I know it is not you fault bless you . I know what you mean that in itself is so frustrating. But we hopefully we get them soon .. the answer is I really don't know . I am going to Florida at the end of the month and might just bring crafting supplies back with me ... hopefully --- my website might have a few additions for a while 😀

If you are able to bring some supplies back with you that would be great but I also know how hard that can be when you are on holiday. My Daughter went to New York just before Xmas but as she said time just flew by.

loe the colours. i have these molds and the first thing i noticed was they were different. the only way to have matching would be to buy another set.

Maybe but the blade has barbs 😕🤔 so they still wouldn’t match up sadly 😳 I’m not gonna make this again 😂😂😂😂🥰🥰

Hi there from, Seaton, Illinois, USA! All things considered, the dagger turned out beautifully! The colors are very vibrant and pretty. Something I was wondering about the mold is, could one possibly pour two pieces of the same mold and mount them back to back to make one? Then basically have two different yet similar daggers. Just a little curious. And, I might add, I absolutely LOVE watching your videos. I'm still fairly new to resin, and I have definitely learned a lot from you, Michael, and Daniel. Hi Randy Your idea about back to back same moulds wouldn’t work due to the blade being in the wrong direction. Love the colours you chose. I’m not sure but I don’t think the molds are supposed to be put together. I think it’s a set of knives that are similar..love from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦

That sword is definately Frostmourn from Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft, I would recognize it anywhere, I've always liked its design :)

It was a massive mistake in purchasing this mould. Don’t do it 😂😂😂😂 Honestly it really did annoy me. My self confidence took a hit and that was massive too. I really wanted to emphasise how a bad purchase can knock you back 🥲💜

The horns don't match because they are wrapping around the hand guard... you might be able to hide the back of the tips of the horns by adding some "gemstone"

I would have just poured both moulds again. Match same pieces together. Should work as long as the individual moulds are symmetrical.

I can see that would have been better but sadly the only reason I purchased it was because it was a two part as I don’t like weapons at all, even decorative ones 😕🤷‍♀️ but a pair would have been a better description for sure. I wouldn’t have bought them 😂😂😂😂
