i literaly startet crying... a now all grown up man, misses a great game. Its about everything. if you fell of your ship, if you got your ship infiltrated and everything was lost... if you flew though the walls into a new zone. All those things made me love it, it was one of the greatest games ever in my opinion if i would have the chance to play it again even for tripple the prize i would do it.

i miss you worlds adrift, so so much...

This was more than a game for me, I met many awesome people and created some unforgettable memories. The music in this game was something else, The main menu music used to send my Son to sleep when he was having trouble. Many hour spent making ships,exlporing and breaking through walls and in some cases blockades in PvP. Every aspect of this game was amazing and I just wished they tried alittle harder to keep it alive, an RP server would have had alot of potential as the possibilities would have been endless. I want this game back and the fact its never going to return makes me real sad. World's Adrift

I remember having downloaded the island creator years before I could by a laptop to play the game proper, but when I did, they shut down the servers a month afterwards. Still the greatest game I’ve played in ages.

This game was amazing and it was so sad to see it die. One of the most unique and fun games ive ever played.

I remember watching it and falling in love when it started on KZfaq. I saw everything that that youtuber uploaded. In the end, the youtuber stopped uploading it and I stopped watching it, but I liked the game so much that I looked for it several times over time. Finally, in 2019 I got my pc, and after a few hours reminiscing about games from my childhood, I remembered this game. It was a complete shame, spending 2 hours looking for it on Steam and nothing showing up. In the end I thought it would be on a web page, but before that I found a reddit thread that explained everything. That game was magnificent, something unique. I hope one day he will return.

I never really got into the game, too busy with other things. I loved to just ride around in the ships that I spend materials and time building. They were never massive, or great, or weaponed; they were for me, and I really enjoyed it. I logged on one day not too far past from the previous time I played and it and said that the servers were shut down. I thought it may of been for repair so I tried the next day. Nope, they were really shut down. A few years afterwards I forgot what the game was called. I spent hours on youtube trying to find videos of the game so I could remember it, at least remembers its name. Finally, one day I found it. Worlds Adrift. I have it wrote down, I hope to never forget of the game. I wish I could of played more... Such an unspoken masterpiece.

the iland at 1:13 was my faivorit in the game and i can only say this game made me feel like i was part of something and i saw all of those who played it as family i can only wish my fellow travelers good wind and god speed see you in the skies P.s when i die i hope i respawn in worlds adrift

I remember finding this game through Steam recommendations alongside No Man's Sky, and I played Worlds Adrift so much when it was online. Absolutely loved it, it was such a unique style of MMO that I still believe all MMOs should strive to be. Voidtrain looks similar, but nothing will really replace this game..... I really hope it comes back one day, but it's already been 6 years, so i really doubt it.

This is one of the two games that convinced me into wanting to buy a pc. I spent a few years after that waiting, saving, and looking into that. Eventually, I bought one, and installed a few other games, I had forgotten about Worlds Adrift. When I eventually remembered, I went searching in youtube for the memory of a game I never played. Finally I found it, and watched IGP's gameplay. At the end, I got to the videos talking about the shutdown. I was so sad I never got to experience this game and am now going through all of the videos of this I can find, and hoping one day I can get to experience this for the first time.

Worlds Adrift was a game that was waaay ahead of its time, and for me the best part was being a skilled fly boy going on solo runs to becoming the leader of one of the biggest groups out there.

I used to play Worlds Adrift with a buddy of mine that i have been friends with and played tons of games with over the years and even with all the games we have played, the stories we have experienced or the memories we have made this is still my favorite, once every 4 months i send my friend a screenshot of the 1st ship we build together and every time i do i get the same reply " F U " a few mins will pass and he will send me a screenshot of the 1st time we meet one another ingame, Then we just start talking about memories from the game and share screenshots even though we have seen them so many times by now, but somehow they never get old. I hope aswell that someday it will we will get an email saying the servers will open again.

The problem were not the wipes, as most should know this happens with a lot in other games. Probably the biggest problem was content. Yes it was great to have player isles and ships, but this meant a lot of clutter, carcasses of ships that flooded the server. I have been killed more by lag then any other factor in this game. So Devs added blight, which was a cruel and crude solution for this problem. The new isles needed a place in the world and this gave us the feeling of a "new" map. Some of these Player made isles were fun and well constructed, but many more had way to many clutter around, which led to lag. PVE existed out of killing or riding bugs or manta's or an occasional turret. The voyage towards an isle was boring AF, no storms, rain or any weather effects to spice it up. They used this feature for the walls, something you choose to do, it didn't happen during a fight or voyage, just a border. The interaction with players was very limited, it was fight or flight(ignore), but no real trading nor value on loot or tech or ships themselves. Most combat I have seen, were high lvl ships attacking the lower tier cause they were bored AF and mostly while building their crappy first time ships. Devs added protection to the bubbles , which let even more tricks and clutter. They had a brilliant concept but kinda f*cked it up by using their features wrong. They should have included one huge safe heaven in every zone. Here is where you can trade, repair, recruit crew etc The isles in this zone has one very valuable resource, but ofc ya need more to make stuff. So you have to go to another zone or trade for it here. Broken ships should be salvaged and this action should be rewarded, cause it helps to clean the server...or just make them sink fast and they are gone&done. There must be more to do to make ship work, float, flying. Sail adjust, shoveling coal, winds, currents, poison clouds...barnacles on the hull, anything!

I loved this game so freaking much. Honestly words can’t describe it. I made friends in game that became my friends in real life. I looted hundreds of hours into it in the short time it was available to the public. Ik it was a monumental task for an indie developer to take on, and I understand why it was taken offline. But holy cow I miss it

It sucks I never got to see the day light of this game from the day it came out I wanted but I had nothing to run it so I watched others enjoy it and now that I have something to play it on it has faded away gone and it sucks cause now I’m left heart broken

Still the single best game I have ever had the pleasure of discovering and playing. I have a few great friends that I still play other games with to this day that I met playing WA. Such a relatable experience from the creator of this video. Thank you for sharing this with us my friend. Cheers

I have a strange feeling about this game. And it, for me, shows what the developers did so wrong. I never played it. I never heard about it during its life. I never knew about it. But had I? I would have played it obsessively. Had they advertised better, rather than relying on a viral youtuber method that may never have worked, I think a lot more people would have played and loved it. This game feels like it was made for me and it ticks most of my boxes. Only...I never heard about it until it was too late.

It was an experience. It's hard to explain it to people without telling stories. First week we got it was shortly after it launched on Steam. It was painful to see it go.

I'm angry I was there for the beginning, but not the end. We were so bitter from the pain of loss and the bullshit bug that ended our ship during a patch cycle. If I had a time machine, I'd go back to sit with you guys and see that damn whale. Luckily it's coming back. Lost Skies will save us, bro.

we hav hope, we dont know when but there is one team or guy, idk who, but they try make copy of this game with name Void Adrift, this can make our wish come true and let us again build ariship and fly between floating island bcs there is not game that is like this. I didn't get to participate in the End of the World event since my game had stopped working a few months beforehand, and now that I know we got sky whales, I'm really sad I missed it.

The worst part for me is I knew about the game well before it was discontinued, but I never had a computer capable of running it until a few months after it was gone.

Yeah the wipes killed me. my only regret was not doing that event or playing even knowing that in 1 month the game would end. 😥

If they re-released it now... I would even Pay 70€ for it.. damn I even would pay a Monthly subsctibtion. The Wipes never effected me or my Friends at all... it was pretty fun start all over again... I would even Pay for a "Single Player Version" of it. I just miss that Game so much... I even have the Worlds Adrift Logo on my Wall painted and it's huge. :D

...man, i never got to play this game but... I sure wish i could've. It looked fun, it looked beautiful... but i never got around to buying it. Biggest mistake i've ever made, imo...

although yeah the game was cool, i liked it and miss it i cant say i had some poetic love for the game which kinda has me cringing here at the end but yeah, game went, it was fun, sad it ended still got that steam key for it in my steam inventory which i just noticed a while after the game shut down

I played like 800 hours and never once read one of the stories lol. Was too concerned with dominating the skies. If wipes caused players to uninstall and not play again then they have no business playing games like this. They should stick to single player games. Progression is fun and is not that difficult.
