Tatiana, I can't add anything more to the compliments others have paid you already, your work is inspiring and like all true masters - you make it look really easy! Thanks a million.

Tatiana, I am so happy to find your videos revealing how you carve, what tools you use, and how you move the wood around to carve it precisely! I have tried using traditional European chip carving tools and methods, but I have been frustrated because it felt "stiff" and rigid. Your methods result in making the wood submit to your will, rather than the opposite! Thank you so much for sharing so much with us all! I have several tools which seem to be the same brands and models as yours! What a coincidence! I hope one day I may be able to carve and design patterns as well as you do now! I admire your skills greatly! I am afraid I cannot afford the prices of many of your completed carvings, your patterns and pre-drawn boards, because I had several illnesses over te past twenty years which prevented me from working to earn a living for my family. My sweet wife has been the wonderful leader for all that time, and my children have bought me some tools and some basswood. ( I had difficulties finding good eastern basswood that was clear enough and with clean grain. I have finally found some, and I look forward to learning to carve as well as you and many others have done. One day, perhaps we can meet at a show and discuss some of your patterns, and how you think of them! Your carving is SO beautiful!!! I hope to catch up with you a little bit. I am an electrical engineer, and I will need to work in that field to earn a living so my wife may rest a bit and recover from the many years she has supported me and our five "children" while I recovered from so much illness. Perhaps now she may rest a bit and allow me to care for her! Please continue to carve and to tell us more about your work. You are helping many "young" people become great carvers! Of course, I am 68 years young, but I can still learn! Good luck to you, keep carving and inspiring people all over the world! God Bless You!

Так и без пальцев (левая рука!) можно остаться! Нельзя держать руку против режущей кромки. Тем более - когда режешь с усилием и без страховки лезвия! Берегите себя! Удачи!)

thank you for showing us how its done.I made my first chip carving a week ago based off of your multi-chip idea. turned out great! maybe use a manual focus set on top of the box so it stops trying to focus on the top of your knife handle?

I am glad you liked using multi-chips in you carving. p.s. yes, I know that problem in this video.. But, unfortunately, there is no manual focus in my camera.

hi Tatiana. your carvings are beautiful. I have wondered where where you learned to carve? I hold my knife in a different way. your way looks very secure and controllable. I will be watching the rest of your you tube videos in the coming days! Thank you for sharing your wonderful patterns.

Hello Judith, thank you! I learned to carved in the University. p.s. All of the Russian wood carvers use skew knives for chip carving.
