I took Megan Moore (professional model) with anxiety, my son, Ashton with me to see how a Sensory Deprivation Float experience would be for our symptoms. I experience a lot of anxiety, and of course many symptoms related to ADHD and autism. The results were unexpected, to say the least.

I used this some time ago. I found I was relaxed so much that getting home was problematic! I could have laid down in the street and fell asleep! That was almost 10 years before I was diagnosed autistic and more than 10 before it was realised I had ADHD as well.

Glad to see you’re back to making content again. This was very helpful information and it’s something I’ve been thinking about trying. This makes me definitely want to try it. (And the magnesium is probably what made you sleep so well afterwards.)

This is definitely something that is on my bucket list to try out. Thank you so much for your videos, they have really helped me in my path of understanding myself and my self diagnosis. Now I just need help with my actual diagnosis as being 50 and in the US even my doctor doesn't know what I need to do.

Super enjoyable. The one by me is 85$ per session 😮 ive done it probably 5 times over the past 4 years. Wish it were cheaper, but very calming once youre able to fully let go. Recommended++

Hi Dr. Service! We have been watching your videos in my support group for neurodivergent adults. My group is asking if you can please make a video about neurodivergent-to-neurodivergent relationships (family, friends, partners, etc.). Example: how to meet our own needs and respect the other person's needs, especially when their stims, special interests, data dumps, etc. clash with our own. Many thanks for the gift of your channel and best wishes!

I do this every week. Slowly it starts to have an effect but I also suffer from CPTSD after many years of enduring narcissistic abuse.

I just want one coffin size one to sleep in every night, my fibro pain can be unbearable at times. honestly have considered making a vertical one like the ones in sci-fi shows, with a dive mask for breathing

The issue I had is that my neck would tilt uncomfortably far backwards because there is no support (like lying on a bed without a pillow but worse). I spent all hour being annoyed/distracted by it and also the floating noodles/scarf they provided didn't help either because it would naturally float to under my neck instead of supporting the back of my head, so the tilt persisted. Afterwards I bought a sleeping mask + hearing protection (the kind that construction workers use) and just lie in bed instead. This provides the same sensory deprivation except for the weightlessness and has no additional cost per session after the initial purchase. It works great and I find that meditation is easier under those circumstances as well.

Fun video, the bloopers were great! I get motion sickness easy, I wonder if that's a thing in one of those?

I tried it a week ago for the first time after years of wait. I am very sensitive to sounds, light, and have a back problem. I got in and couldn't stay in there for more than 10 minutes because the tank has a mechanism to keep the water at the right temperature and to keep ventilation going (I went into one that was more like a pod, not a room, like in the video). It was unbearably loud for me. I got out and informed the owner and he turned everything off so I could try it again. Then I hopped back in and was able to somewhat relax. The lack of ventilation made the air a bit thick and warm in there, though. Overall, my body felt really relaxed at the end, and my spine did feel decompressed, but I don't know if I like it enough to spend money on it. It also dried out my hair quite a bit. I have another session that's paid for already so I'll be testing it again to see how it goes the second time.

It didn’t look like you guys had a float thing for your neck. I went to one and the neck piece didn’t feel great and I kept rolling over and getting salt in my eyes. It was a shell like one. The second time I went I had a really nice neck float and I had the walk in one that is big. It takes a while but if you just lie there and kind of meditation like you will really feel what you’re meant to feel. I think it could take longer for us that have autism/adhd. I didn’t want to go out and wish I had another hour it was that great. I just couldn’t handle the feeling after of the salt on my body and hair. I don’t like my hair to be wet or putting on my clothes after being wet so that part I didn’t like

I would really like to try it at one point, with absolute darkness. Either my ADHD/Autistic braine goes insane or it feel awesome... probably nothing between these options 😅

I wonder how much of a role the magnesium plays in the relaxation bit, as it can be absorbed through the skin.

I like the idea of this, besides the cost. But I don't see how this would be good for ADHD. Like, the monkey mind would have nothing to grab on to and keep bouncing around the brain. Much like Megan's experience.

You're crazy. Talking about sensory stress, and that music and those echoes! I don't think that test was useful, there was way too much filling your minds with expectations beforehand.
