Concrete House, designed by Raw Architecture Workshop in Lewes, UK, is an innovative family home built from advanced fibre-reinforced concrete, making it the first building of its kind in the world. This material, developed by Cemex and tested by the University of Zurich, is highly durable and crack-resistant, eliminating the need for steel reinforcement bars. The house, created for Adrian and Megan Corrigall and their young family, combines the robust aesthetic of monolithic concrete with warm interior elements like natural light, mid-century furniture, and lush indoor greenery. Featuring a long central hallway with interlocking concrete volumes, the home maintains continuous circulation while presenting a fortress-like exterior. The design is inspired by brutalist architecture, and the interiors are styled to provide a cozy yet private atmosphere with colorful fixtures contrasting the concrete surfaces.
