There's a small town not far from where I live and I have gone there several times and taken hundreds of images. Then when I upload them I generally delete about 80% of them, but I totally agree with you that it keeps me sharp but also is great fun. I really enjoy your videos, very inspirational.

That is so much better how you have the GoPro and the back of your camera in-line all the time now. Perfect ! And another great video too 😜😍

Thanks, Geoff! This one was made with the small Sony camera, left the GoPro behind :) I agree, this way is better.

Thank you, Steve! I actually used a bracket tripod mount, I believe that's what is called, attached the stills camera on one end and the video camera on the other end, and shot like that. Not the most comfortable way to take photos, but I like the result :)

The level indicator on my camera needs calibrating occasionally Maybe your Soni is the same? In any case, thank you for making this unique, shooter's eye video. I love the square format. I used to own a Mamiya twin lens reflex and loved it. Your advice to keep shooting is very sound and I need to follow it. I found the images very inspirational. I like the technique of short depth of field to isolate and compose. Thank you. I will subscribe.

PAUSING VIDEO ... because I've also *just* found myself (severely) challenged with the perspective / level issue - and I thought I was going a little crazy - questioning if I needed an eyesight test even (although I couldn't figure how that would help!) Wow. I'm sorry because it's not a pleasant experience. Over the years I've developed what I thought was a *rock solid* sense of level horizon, and any other skewing of perspective but it's *just" gone 'squiff"!... I've no answers but you're not alone.
@aows
@aows 2 жыл бұрын
Haha, I'm sorry that happens to you too, but it does make feel a bit better! I think I'm going to have to stop using the level because it's becoming very distracting. It messes with my brain somehow, and seeing that the final images are no better anyway... but it does drive me crazy!

Pause the video at 19:16 just before the shot is taken. You will see some small line crossing the little cross hair boxes in the middle. That indicates that while the camera may be horizontal laterally (side to side), it is not horizontal back and forth. I believe the camera may be slightly tilted down, which can result in slanted lines still.

Nice POV ... do you keep all this images or do you publish them on photography pages, social media, keep them on the hard drive or do you select just a few of them and delete others ... I ask for example for this video, you've must of shoot 30,40 images in this video, do you really have all this images?
