The main reason why I got Glacier 280 for my Meshlicious build is the fact that RGB is totally optional (you don't need to use that Infinity mirror cap), daisy-chained fans that can by powered from one header and the pump itself using pump/aio header on the mobo so there is no need for using usb cables/headers (looking at you NZXT and Corsair).

For anyone interested in it for the RGB (on the pump faceplate not the fans). The lighting is quite dim,so if you're running some fairly bright rgb's in your rig already, they may seem underwhelming. It may look better in white I'm not sure (I have the 360 in black using lian li uni fans, can really see the difference in brightness) in

5:40 My latest build was an all white build based on the Meshify-C case. I built in in early 2020 just before parts began to become scarce. I kind of regret my choice as options for white parts were limited. At the time, there were two choices for an AiO (Enermax or Corsair) with one being back ordered. RAM was limited to a single option, Corsair's Vengence RGP Pro. Forget a white GPU. I think there was one option at the time and it was almost twice the price of the same unit in black/grey. I actually ended up having to spray paint some of the parts like the wrist rest for my keyboard and the mounting bracket for the vertical GPU adapter. Next time I think I'm going to go all black.

A video about "normal" temps for ryzen 5000 and Intel 12th gen would be great, also because nobody did it from what I saw. Covering the different classes of cpu's (5/7/9) with their respective temps to expect under different scenario, also during mixed usage (like gaming) where the temps can vary a little and have some peaks. And a nice thing to add would be considering also the cooler, air cooling like a tower or water cooling for example a aio, which temps are normal/expected for them, and some advantages, like for using a water cooling, during a short peak (for example 1 second) you don't need to ramp up your fans immediately because the water can trap that heat and dissipate it later (I don't know if this is true). I recently built up my first system with a ryzen 9 5900x with a 360mm aio and a 3080, and I don't know what to expect exactly for the temps, so how quiet I can run the system and where I need to be more aggressive with the fan speed in the curve for longevity and good performance, I searched a bit but nobody talked about that argument, and I think lots of pc enthusiasts and first builders would be very interested in that.

It depends on the voltage and the ratio too. I heard someone say an AIO will have a water temp between 30 and 40 c. I have an enormous overkill loop for a 5600X because I am a bit crazy. With a Ryzen you can see your water temperature on the IO die sensor at idle. My water temp is 3,5 c above ambient max. The delta gets even lower in the winter when the ambient is lower because of improved efficiency. I have the fan curve set to lowest of low now, it only ramps up above 55c, which does not even happen on normal usage. What you want to do is make a profile for daily use. Set the ratio and voltage to a steady state. I would go for the same clocks and CPU scores, test hem as you lower the voltage, as you were getting on auto, but on a lower voltage. Daily I run 4,65GHz on 1,2 volts core on this 5600X, which is not Geekbench stable but 99,99 game stable, and I Idle at 29c at the moment. That is extremely low for a Ryzen but I want to overclock on some occasions, with AI suite 3 from Asus. You can't download it from Asus somehow, try to get in from another reliable site. Be careful when you adjust settings! The software can glitch and max out voltages you have not even touched! Be sure to always double check all voltages after you changed something in AI suite, even the voltages you have not touched! Good luck! By the way the only title I would maybe want to overclock the CPU to more than 4,65 GHz is MSFS 2020. That is a heavily not optimized title and it is very CPU heavy.

Ryzen seems to run super hot. I have a 3800X on a 360mm custom loop with a 3080 and it still hits 75+ under load. GPU never goes above 55. I've tried a lot of different OC settings, from fully stock to undervolting, and it always seems to do this. Stock is by far the hottest on idle, though, so definitely need that undervolt.
@8oh1guy
@8oh1guy 2 жыл бұрын
@@hawkeye2816 that's interesting. I'm opposite, I have a i9 12900k and a 3080ti. My cpu gets into the 60's when oc and my gpu usually sits at 70 under load. At idle it's 25° C for cpu and 50° C for my gpu. I've noticed it running warmer now that it's summer. Ambient temps are higher.
@hawkeye2816
@hawkeye2816 2 жыл бұрын
@@8oh1guy Ryzen 3K series has some silly voltage offsets at stock. Like, it reads 1.4v. Setting an all core OC can lose you some single core clocks, but you can often tune it to a lower voltage and be stable. In my case, I'm stable at 4.3 all core and the stock generally only goes to like 4.35 on single core and at higher voltage.

MPH probably means/stands for (M - Maelström concept technology, P - PWM, H - High Pressure) -- or -- (M- Millimeter, and the PH - is the Product line code of the fan i.e. PH-F120MP). I believe its more likely the 1st, or a mixture of both, who really knows other than Phanteks lol..? They call these new models MP fans, and i think they add on the H for the "high static pressure" part of the redesign of the fan blades. Could also be (MM, PWM, High press.). Thats as close as i could come up with in just a little time researching. But they never flat out say what MPH means

Hey Jay, wanted to say that you commented on the speckle on the radiator and how you had never seen it on one before. I found out that the asus rog strix white aio cooler also has the speckle on it. Love the vids, Keep em coming!

I have a big Phanteks 360 on 5950X, and love it. Temps never get about 60C when stressing the CPU, and low 30C when doing simple tasks.

damn thats nice, i cant decide wich aio to use for my upcoming build based on a 13700k im eyeballing the arctic liquid freezer ii 360 & ek aio 360 elite 🤔

Try changing the PBO settings to allow it to draw more power. It'll get quite a bit hotter, but I got some pretty high performance increases when I did it. I hit about 80C with an Arctic Liquid Freezer II running Cinebench drawing ~205W. Default PPT limit is only 142W.

You can technically refill the loop by taking the cold plate off and adding fluid (water-glycol mix). I was about to do it to mine but NZXT replaced it under warranty (3 days before it expired).

So random question not really dealing with the video. I'm planning to do an upgrade for my old rig but I don't want to do it all at once so I'm either going to replace my GTX 980 or my cpu/mobo/ram (i7-4790k w/ 20GB DDR3). Any thoughts?

Just curious, was that 1.3v load voltage? Because my custom loop at 1.288 load voltage hit 72 degrees in the first run of Cinebench. (im not looking at VID btw, referencing vcore)

Hey Jay hope you could help me out or maybe someone else but I just installed a corsair 150i elite 360 aio and I booted me pc and it was telling me cpu fan error but all my fans are running the pump is running so I just went into the bios and set it to ignore the cpu fan speed. Should I had not done that and what would cause the error if everything is running?

rubber in its pure form, from my trucking days, is yellow. So the white must be either wearing out/off and the yellow is coming through.
These are COMPLETELY unnecessary... but AWESOME!
