I have a Roku ultra streaming box This morning went in and was able to add the TCL+ app not a TCL television Don’t know if this is a mistake and they’ll remove it shortly but currently it is working

Yes! Sling TV is great! Love the free stream and all it comes with. Antenna is our go to before anything else.

OTA channels via an antenna is my main source of viewership, but I do occasionally watch pluto tv and I watch a lot of KZfaq on my tv as well.

I had Sling and canceled service with them due to the limit of only allowing 1 simultaneous stream on their Orange Package. If they would allow 3 simultaneous streams on their Orange Package like they do on their Blue, I would change back to Sling and give them another try.

What I find more annoying than anything about streaming is that even the live channels are not in sync.. If I turn on the same channel on two TVs, they are as much as 10 seconds out of sync.. That means the volume needs to be turned down on one of the sets.. If I am in one room and my wife is in another, that's a problem.

@@garybelew7813 This is terribly annoying when it comes to sports, where if for whatever reason two TVs are set to the same game the delay causes one TV to spoil the other.

That was a deal breaker for me with them, and it's like, "Why?" They clearly have the capability to do multiple streams so why not do it on both? This is Dish/Sling choosing to limit it, not individual channels/media companies the way Dish always alleges during disputes.

@@boomerbear7596 Exactly, I have a TV in my dining room and living room.. The two rooms are separated by a fireplace, so you can't see the TV in the living room from the dining room, but you can hear it.. My sound system is in the living room as well and if I am streaming something, I have to turn off the nice sound and listen to the lousy TV sound if I am in the dining room.. It's OK, my wife doesn't want to go to streaming anyway, so I use it sometimes, but still have cable. They have a lot of wrinkles to work out before they are main stream, but I suspect it will end up that way.

These streaming services seem to me to have mostly the same channels like Tubi, Pluto, Samsung Tv Plus, etc. Am I wrong? Just curious because I don’t use them much. Also, I’m one of those people that pretty much watches KZfaq videos and I don’t bother with the TV.

Am able to use sling on a Roku TV/Streamer. Believe it requires a subscription, but it's like an additional TV service on top of the Roku streams. Hope this helps.

I just checked out the TCL channel, it's pretty much what we've already had with other free services. Not much new variety. Huge lack of decent shows I like to watch from any of these services, but it's expected as they're owned by big companies with their own paid streaming services. Just kinda sucks I can't watch stuff like boy meets world or full house on a free streaming service anymore because of this. :\ Nice that we have more options! But I'm good with MeTV Toons for the time being lol Love your channel!!

I figured that would be the case.. There are still only so many channels out there and Samsung TV+, Vizio Watch live, the ROKU channel, and Pluto, pretty much cover anything people could want. That's no mentioning that an antenna in most cities will get more than 50 over the air channels.

Would love a better variety of TV shows, say Monk, Seinfield, Big Bang Theory for free, but I'm not complaining. Freevee seems to have a couple I've never heard of, British shows included, so am checking those out. I can watch a couple episodes of Seinfeld in the middle of the night OTA, though. I'm good with Tubi, Pluto and this new one, which yes, appears to have pretty much the same movies and TV shows. But free is good, again, not complaining.

I could not create a login on the roku (not a tcl TV) without app crashing. loaded app on phone for TCL TV and created account there and verified email sent to me. Now the app allows login and says we are changing our name from TCL TV to TCLTV+ and many new channels will be added soon. appears to work on non TCL roku devices.

I've had the same issue. When I try to sign in to TCL+ on my Roku, it sends me back to my Roku home screen every time.

Free streaming services have 99% of the same live tv channels, they tend to have a Filmrise, Ion, Midsomer Murders channel. The Free Streaming services aren't really competing against one another. I got rid of a lot them. Why have all of them and they have the same thing?

I left sling for KZfaq tv lol Don’t do it… sling forces you to watch some commercials… like when commercials start, on some channels you can’t fast forward through them like on KZfaq tv (like if you restarted a show from the beginning) Also if you channel flip to avoid commercials.. sometimes you’ll come back and it’ll still be on the same commercials you can’t skip Sling sucks.. don’t do it

Question for Luke. streaming is less expensive than cable but businesses have so many tv's that they would require many subscriptions for all their tv's. Have you heard of streaming providers packages that can be purchased for 100 devices without multiple subscriptions? Multiple subscriptions to access the same program package on 100 devices would be too many accounts to handle efficiently for a business. A local business has had their cable tv shut down as they change over to fiber optic but they still have internet so That is why I am asking.

I am in the Seattle area, and I am able to watch local news with Pluto, Haystack news, Newsmax and I can watch national news by going on ABC, NBC and Fox apps on my tablet. I have Sling tv orange and Philo, where I can watch world news and some news shows. Also, some local news stations will allow you to go to their websites to watch the news. We have Komo news. Kiro 7 is an affiliate of CBS, etc.

Sports fanatics getting their own sports network?! GOOD! Should've been done ages ago, when I had cable! At least now, they can F* the F* off, the cable networks, for the people that still do want cable TV. But I can't imagine going back to cable though. Every other channel was sports. They made me pay MORE for it TOO! Which completely junkified my simple channel flipping. And the overall experiences with cable. How would they like it if most channels were cutting off their favorite shows, and LIVE sports events for an "Important" update on knitting?! Making you pay more for knitting channels?! And "Lifetime" movie drama, and tear jerker channels?! FUN HUH?! Well, it's on TV and popular. We demand you like it! And don't get me started with LIVE sports updates/events! WITHOUT TELLING ME! Unlike breaking news, sports events are planned. They could let me know. This was before social media...so...But when I fully intended to watch a 1 hr TV show, and forget it, dusty old man "sports" is on...UGH! GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

In my experience, streaming sticks get extremely hot. I would be concerned about a fire hazard or concerned about little ones getting scolded.

My Roku 4k stick gets hot but never hot enough to cause a fire and if owners of these devices are concerned ,they can always unplug them for a few minutes until they cool off.
