I could see that using a vertical boiler from a steam lorry like Elizabeth to power her with minimal sacrifice to passenger capacity.

Love the design of her, if I were to imagine how she came to be, I would say that the skarloey railway was in need of another engine, one for the mountain trains, so they decided to build their own engine in house, but since at the time they were low on funds (no thanks to Duncan rock n rolling) they used a coach named Isabella. If given the chance, would want to make a story based off of her in the future

Isabella for me is a simple mototorized coach, but its nice,unique,and the desing is original, nice custom.

She look's pretty good and has quite a lot of potential for many storys; It would'ev been awsome to have a narrow gauge Trainz model of her,Noice one TB.

First, the model looks great and I enjoy the idea but Isabella is a lot closer in appearance to a steam dummy/tram than an actual railmotor as the funnel would suggest her having a normal locomotive boiler which would run most of the length of her. This would also mean that she wouldn’t be able to carry passages as it wouldn’t be considered safe to have paying passengers within a locomotive’s engine/boiler comportment (because common sense). Also, real world railmotors with only four wheels tended to only have two wheels driven, having all four wheels driven and coupled the way they are on Isabella does in combination with her funnel solidify her as a steam dummy/tram based on the real world usage of the terms. I would suggest looking into the KWSteE DW 1-17 as these were actual two axel railmotors which the GWR ones were not.

Funnily enough, she continues the tradition of an engine sharing a name with one of The Pack's members.

Here's my lore(also fits in to some of my OCs) Isabella was built by the Skarloey railway company, using one of their pre-existing(damaged) coaches(named Isabella) and the boiler off a Sentinel Vertical Steam Lorry[that's what Elizabeth and... the Steam Lorry in the Pack are based on], using bits and pieces from other engines, in her debut episode 'The Steam Duke' she is seen leaving Crovan's Gate, going up to Cros-ny-curn where she meets up with Peter Sam, who has brought slate down from Blue Mountain Quarry, he mentions Duke, which causes Isabella to wonder on where they went, when at Crovan's Gate again(having passed most stations off screen) she brings up this, then we get part of Sleeping Beauty as in RWS. At the end of the episode Brian(an LNER B17) brings the flatbed to the Steamworks. Ending the debut episode

Very nice! The name is good, but for me, it’s a bit too similar to Isabel, Oliver’s coach! I actually got a Hornby auto coach to represent Isabel and go with my Bachmann Oliver and Toad!

her wheel arrangement is definitely odd for IRL steam railmotors, most seem to be 0-4-4 or 0-2-2 from what I saw looking online, but definitely an interesting concept. either way, she looks lovely, and there's no reason she couldn't have been built. Maybe she was built using spare parts originally ordered for one of the others, and therefore had a more conventional steam engine wheel arrangement under her coach body and small vertical boiler, or maybe they just decided she needed to have all her wheels driven to overcome the mountain grades.

You could use the East Broad Top M-1 as a basis for a more advanced concept turn that to steam giving it the royal blue could be a quite beautiful concpet

I have another custom idea for you. Basically, make a push pull version of Annie and Clarebelle. Basically, making Clarebelle seem like she has controls inside of her where her face is, so that the driver can control Thomas from her. Thomas can have a tail lamp fitted to his lamp irons or the top of his smoke box

i think she should have a vertical boiler instead so there is more room for passengers and more boiler

A very great character that would really fit into to TVS! I planned of 3 of my own original characters too! 2 are engines and 1 is a Road vehicle 2 two engines are based on No.11 and No.12 from the Tallylyn railway these engines don't have names but 1 is green and is kind while the other Diesel is Red and a cruel Diesel who hates steam engines and the Colour red. They both came from the mainland to help the other engines. The last one is Called: Andy Andy is a 3 wheeled car and I haven't figured out a basis for him just yet. Andy is yet again a kind car and has a southern accent and is good friends with Caroline's d Andy originally came from the mainland scrapyard and was sent to sodor to be restored and sold.

Do you know I have a very similar original character his name is Charles and I have a very interesting basis for him he was a furnace railway K2 that was stripped down into only a boiler and running wheels soon and have some work when attached him and his firebox and wheels onto a coach so he’s basically just a big coach with a boiler front and wheels

What name would you put to Her Basis?
