About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

I love u guys, I was so upset after the last show I couldn't even comment, the saddest thing was seeing the troops go down the drive. So excited for this next adventure. 1st episode was a bit everywhere, which is what I love about the show "it's real", not slicked up phoney mass media dribble, it was great to see you coming to terms with something so outlandishly new. Please show us everything, I am guessing buying food would be interesting in a country that has a lot of subsistence farming, no nipping down to the iga.

Great to see you guys 😊 We've been to Bali 10 times pre covid. Love the place. Have Balinese friends there that taught us their language ( Balinese not Indonesian).Food was yummy but had gone up in price from what you paid for.Lavina is awesome Food to try .Martabak, corn fritters( Bregedl), capcay, sate, black rice pudding ( my favorite) to name a few. ❤👍🤗

Hey Guys - so good to see you back at it and cannot wait to see what is to come. Must visit - Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan! Also can go to Nusa Pedina. Hire a scooter to get around Lembongan and Ceningan. Some of the crystal clear water you will ever see, ride out to the seaweed farms and char with the locals. Go jump off Mahna Point and watch the surfers. Eat at the local warungs - for cheap meals. $15 for 2 of us including drinks and 3 to 4 dishes. You can find cheap accommodation all over the place on Lembongan - mushroom bay was where i stayed at Sanghyang Bay Villas. 👌🏼 [they organised transfers, fast boat and also could rent motorbike from them as well] Hope this helps. Have the best time ✌🏼

Loving the new format and travel destinations you guys are killing it! I can't recommend Amed enough for freediving. You should try to get in touch with Adam Stern who runs Deep Week there and its something you'll both thoroughly enjoy! Amazing place and the people are super friendly and the trips up into the mountains are spectacular as well as the Temples. Gates of Heaven they call it or Pura Lempuyang is well worth the climb!

You should really go to Java Island to visit Tumpak Sewu Waterfall and Mount Bromo for the sunrise (this one can be visited for free instead of an expensive tour) these two places were the highlight of my trip in Indonesia, paired with diving in Komodo National Park which I highly recommend Neren diving school. Hope you'll enjoy your travels

I can't wait to see your travels in Asia. How fantastic. My husband spent a year as an exchange student in Kalimantan which is in East Borneo. I highly recommend it as a beautiful place to explore. The Indonesian Government is relocating the capital of Indonesia to here.

Some food suggestions - Gado Gado is delicious and you can't go past a good chicken satay.

The Gili Islands off the coast of Lombok (or Bali if you don't mind a couple-of-hour ferry trip) is a great time. Small islands where you can only travel by bicycle or horseback. I stayed at Pink Coco which was 10/10. The diving there wasn't too bad (Not the best in Indonesia, but pretty cool it's all so close). Mount Batur is a really nice hike in Bali. You don't have to be an expert hiker to do it, either. And most importantly, make sure to try some of the bakso from one of the million bakso carts around the country. Couple of bucks for some mystery meat (are they chicken balls? Fish balls? something else? You'll never know) in a super tasty soup. So jealous you guys are travelling Bali, now! Can't wait to get back.

Long comment my apologies. THE INTRO ANIMATION!! 🥲 very nicely done! Hopefully it wasnt terrible? Are you kidding? this is great! you guys were seriously made for this! You're killin' it! you both look so happy! Props to Jack for driving in Bali, I've only been there once about 10yrs ago and stayed in Seminyak (funnily enough also at a questionably named villa called... Kunti🤭) but the traffic there was an absolute nightmare. Im glad i got the knack to haggle the cab drivers though. I dont remember much about the place so I cant throw any recommendations out there. Unless you go to Ubud and go through the monkey forest, but hold on tight to your gear. They're ruthless. What a great episode, Looked like you guys enjoyed your night on the end of the Cok Campgrounds.

** What to eat?** Nasi Padang. You will recognise a Nasi Padang restaurant by the bowls of food sitting in the window. Many people are scared to eat there as it looks a little unsafe. Its not, you're more likely to get food poisoning from the tomatoe on the side of your Nasi Goreng. Ask for "Nasi, Rendang Daging, Ayam Kari, Telur, Sayur". That is Indo for Rice with Beef Rendang, Chicken Curry, Egg and Vegetable. Should cost you about $5 Aussie. Trust me. Once you start on that food everything else will seem B Grade and over priced.

I'm sorry, but as a follower of you guys for the last couple of years, I can't help but be a little disappointed. As much as I love Australia and the many beautiful areas around our country - I was really excited to see you getting your passports, and knew overseas travel was on the cards. Only to find out that you go to Bali and hire another camper ??? What going on??? I thought the whole point of being in Bali, was for the cheaper accommodation and luxury that you can't get in Australia. I've been to Bali 4 times and never thought once about camping in the bush - Sorry, just a little sad :(

Thanks for watching Chris! As we said in the vlog we only have the camper for 3 nights! A lot of our subscribers follow us for van life content so I’m sure you can understand it’s hard to keep everyone happy! But we’re super excited to travel in the more traditional way in coming episodes. Hope you enjoy them a bit more!

@@itsJackandMegan appreciate the reply, to be honest after seeing you pick up the camper I tuned out a bit and didn't watch the whole video...so didn't catch that it was only 3 days. You right that after vlogging about camping for so long, it's hard to get out of the niche and still continue with the followers. I love the camping stuff in Australia and do it myself, but after travelling to 37 countries I think there is a time and place for camping. 👍👍 I hope some of your other subs can enjoy that too 💖 Thanks for the clarification and looking forward to non-camping overseas videos 😁
