Warframe is a free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter video game developed and published by Digital Extremes. Originally released for Microsoft Windows in March 2013, it was later ported to the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
In Warframe, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of cryosleep to find themselves at war in a planetary system with different factions. The Tenno use their powered Warframes along with powerful weapons and abilities to complete missions. While many of the game's missions use procedurally-generated levels, newer updates have included large open world areas similar to other massively multiplayer online games as well as some story-specific missions that don't use procedural generation. The game includes elements of shooting and melee games, parkour, and role-playing to allow players to advance their Tenno (ancient warrior) character with improved gear.

@@acupoflatte8594 lol. Although it's not unknown in WF for lots of people to complain about something being difficult when it's really just different. And actually I'd say a fair number of complaints are from people who finished the missions but found them dull or unsatisfying rather than difficult.

@@tiltskillet7085 @Tiltskillet Those complaints make up maybe 1% of the player base? They're mainly from veteran endgame players, and as one myself yes it was dull and boring stomping around with Nidus or using Hildryn's augment. But that experience is not reflective of the majority lmao. If you know what you're doing, and know the mechanics of the game, then it becomes easy. The problem becomes when the majority of the player base aren't close to that, aren't geared for that and aren't knowledgeable for that. The game doesn't exactly teach you a lot of these things, nor point in the direction to get these things. Same argument as the Archon fights really, boring and dull for those who know the ins and out, extremely painful for those that don't. Of course the eximus changes and the like don't affect end game players, they know their way around it. For the rest though? They just wanted to get a Warframe, and ended up facing a brick wall. They looked up strategies to conquer this wall, only to realize they have to get specific gear they never thought they needed until now. It's different, and difficult lmao.

@@acupoflatte8594 Grendel is just 1 Warframe, and the Archons are basically the last content you access, so I don't see why it shouldn't be hard for new players, if you can't manage this kind of mission you can always try to get better or just wait for when you are ready. As for the complaint of them being boring for high level players, I kinda agree, but sadly that's kinda the point of Warframe, become strong enough so that thing you could have struggled on earlier become easy, and there's so many type of ways to optimize builds that if they tried to make actually hard content for late game players, they would need to be immense gear checks, and then mid-late players that aren't there would complain about instead. The only content that's actually hard in the game is eidolon hunt, not because they are hard by themselves, but because if you want to do 5 or even 6 of them in one night you need minmaxed gear and skill.

I solo’d it some time ago with wisp, nukor, and a glaive. Takes 2 throws to wipe out groups with the glaive, not to mention you stay invis in the air throwing. Great video!

I recomend using garuda, the 100% damage passive is really useful, the ability that gives you energy in exchange for life and the one that impales an enemy and passively gives you health synergize pretty well and the fourth deals a good amount of slash.

If you subsume gloom on her then she becomes invincible while the ability is active bcuz it'll regen your health instantly per kill not to mention by also using dread mirror to protect you from projectiles and also using the augment mod blending talons with the magus anomaly arcane and spamming 4 for the short shieldgate just makes her overall op in my opinion

Very useful, thank you! Personally felarx incarnon feels quite janky so I ended up going with zymos + xoris with wisp and did it all the way through with that setup. Only got a bit tense towards the end of the excavation, rest of it was a breeze with all the aoe.

I just did the missions with your Hildryn strategy and it went well, surprisingly. I honestly thought the eximus units were going to be a problem, but no... It was freaking nullifiers that were the gosh darn problem. Honestly the missions weren't hard, just annoying. I do not like no mods mode. Originally I did not want to do those missions, but I got to play Grendel (by accident) in Steel Path circuit and had a lot of fun with him. So I changed my mind.

A decent alternate stratedy if you don't want to use the felarx trick (or if it gets fixed in the future) : same warframe, wisp, and the sporelacer kitgun. I've done the 3 missions recently for a friend with this setup, and it was pretty easy.

I haven't done the Grendel missions, but I'm curious why the Felarx's incarnon form is better than the base form for this. Do the evolution buffs only affect the incarnon form? Cuz so far, the pellet-based attack with EV5 has worked best for me.

its all about the constant reloading, with mods you can shorten that time but without them it takes very long to fully reload, and incarnon doesnt need to reload

I actually had an easy time using Lavos to be honest. I recommend everyone try Lavos. He can heal himself, doesn't need energy, he's tanky and using the element combinations you can even kill eximus units easily enough. I also used a Sonicor (follow up with a finisher while the enemy is ragdolled) and Cerata (throw for easy toxin procs). I didn't have the Felarx built so couldn't use that but if I had it, I'd use that as a primary.

All of the videos I've seen for these missions recommend some type of helminth infusion. So at risk of being a stupid question, a yarelli with Tempest barrage as the four, would that be viable?

Honestly these missions are so easy, I feel like most people just don't know what to bring. For primary just bring something with a high base damage or high crit chance. I ran my karak Wraith, couldnt even be bothered to being the kuva karak its that easy, second doesnt matter they all pretty much suck, and melee bring the rakta dark dagger, Hirudo also works but isnt as consistent. Cedo is also op for these missions. For frame Octavia stands as the most busted character in the game but Harrow is also a top tier choice for this. I forgot to mention Garuda, who has infinite energy and slash procs plus unstoppable survivability through her 1

I just used Xoris tbh, throw, explode, watch stuff melt. The explosion pops shields, then the electric proc wipes em up. Also nuked Eximus units. Walked outta the survival with 2 outta the max towers, and roughly 70-80% oxygen

@@Ty-ux6wv Oh I just used wisp for all of it but Saryn is a hella good choice tbh. Her shock motes CC, and her Vitality motes provide HP and sustain. It was pure gravy tbh, I took my brother with me for a second Grendel and just used the Epitaph and Cerata and it still worked wonders.

Felarx incarnon form is objectively worse than non-incarnon. Is it better than non-incarnon if you can't use mods? Even base non-incarnon is insanely strong.

Did Grendel missions with Gyre. EASY as hell with [Cathode Current] augment and [Pillage] helminthed (Pillage not needed though). With that augment, you fire your 4, then 3 (eats around 70% energy so better have it full first) in between some enemies and you are able to keep them up indefinitely for the rest of the mission. The more enemies around, the more damage it does so the easier it gets. It basically one shots everything apart from Eximus, which you finish off with your weapons. At Excavation I just needed to pick up batteries to occasionally replenish shields - just to be sure, although it looked like it could get to 100% without bonus batteries, if you spaced out the main 5 ones evenly in time. Btw, Vastilok Heavy Attack did better than Felarx. TLDR; take Gyre, install [Cathode Current] augment, kill everything.

Duration on 4 is 16 seconds. That is a lot of time to start killing. 3 is more of a concern because diration is barely 6 seconds. Fire 4, then 3 and make sure there are a couple enemies around you to kill fast, otherwise you will need to wait nearly a whole minute befor you can fire 3 again.@@dragonsprint951

@@dragonsprint951 Still, if you're curious, in short: I press 4 and have 16 secs duration. Then 3 with 6 secs duration. At that point I need to be sure I have a bunch of enemies around me.

I did it with Wispy was pretty easy The Incarnon melee weapons also hit pretty hard. I used Innoden, it would usually one shot normies, and take about 4 hits to kill Eximus

I just did the no mods, for Grendel. Easiest method is to have Hildryn with aqua blades. You can just walk thru missions.

I actually went to try it again and it was too easy... felarx is actually great without the incarnon transformation.. It was doing the same or less dmg after transforming so not sure it will be a priority patch. Xoris just melts everything so I end up just running random frames with xoris with incarnon weapons.. they all do good dmg without transforming. To make it really easy rhino , iron skin, felarx laetum xoris.

Just did mine with wisp + xoris + fulmin prime And AFKed excavation with limbo chilling in rift and just activating excavatora. It took a _very_ long time, but I was doing some other stuff at the same time, so no complaints

I did the Survival and Defense easily with Lavos, Cedo, and Karyst Prime. I haven't tried the Excavation yet because I'm hoping to get a squad together.

Watching this video a few months later I have realized that people still do not play Grendel (even though it is very good) He has the same problem as Sevagoth, players only use Grendel's nourish on other warframes like Sevagoth's gloom and they don't use the warframes themselves.

100% knew what this is gonna be. I tested felarx when it came out, its the only incarnon that works in grendel path. Even with the projectile got fixed theres no need to use it. The passives dont work. Otherwise they would have worked in normal mode too. Forgot to make the video on this cause I got into Detective mode and made too much research on what works and got burned out.

Easier cheese as of 2024: ☑Wisp ☑Energy Siphon (aura mods work) ☑subsumed Aquablades (Yareli) ☑whatever weapon(s) you want to pop Nullifier bubbles Bunny hop to say mostly invisible. Let the Aquablades' slash procs kill EVERYTHING. Use your gun to pop Nullifier bubbles so Aquablades do what it does best. That's it.

I’m doing a challenge where I have to farm every warframe on order of its planet, and I probably won’t have any of this by the time I get to Grendel (I thought he was purchased in the nechralisk for some reason ). I can have access to all dojo warframes and probably the Venus and earth ones by the time I get to his missions, but I’m still exited to see how I turn out to go about these runs

Well, technically Grendel is farmed on Europa, but you can't get him until you've unlocked Arbitrations, which requires you to have unlocked every node in the Star Chart.

@@TwoStarPlayers so he’s later down the line than I imagined. Sort of a bummer and extends the challenge, but that’s the fun of it. Seriously, just to clear earth I need to get my operator for the revenant quest and then scan plant life for Titania- who is technically an earth frame. Thank god I have that Styanax or I’d be stuck on earth till after the new war lmao. And all that with the dojo frames- should be pretty simple I think. Nezha is S tier, volt is my starter, zephyr is also an S tier frame in most high density missions, and wukong becomes a fart cloud. I think Titania will drive me insane. I am so restricted from buying any primes until I have their normal version, just to prevent cheating.

Yes, I used her too. Just deployed dispensary and spammed her 2. It is short but wipes out the whole rooms automatically.

I do either have hildryn or this weapon. I fid those missions using Octavia and equinox. I used molt on equinox and the duality mod. I did choose one of my favourite weapons tenet arca plasmor and my second half did one shot eximus units. The only problem I had was the fact that those missions are broken. I did try survival with lavos and a different warframe on 40 sec left i couldn't active the life support so o ended up wasting 40 minutes. The excavation mission is kind of broken to cause those dudes with power cells didn't show up. I had no problem until like 600 cryotic but suddenly I had no cells to power those excavation stuff 🙄 I believe wukong can also be quite op. At least anyone good luck 😁

Or just ask for help in recruit/clan chat, use infested weapons or weapons that deal elemental damage with higher status, as for frame pick something durable.

Alright I just did it without any of this, using things that are very easily available to new players. (Mostly) Survival: Use Wukong, A good AoE status primary, and the Hirudo. Remember that you can greatly increase the damage of your clone for free my tapping the ability again while targeting an enemy. Use cloud Walker to heal yourself and your clone, save all of your energy just for this. Excavation: Use Wukong and the Hirudo. Do your best to keep the excavators alive until you reach 600 cryotic. At that point just don’t die, and run around starting excavators for 20 cryotic each. It’s slow but you’ll eventually get there. Defense: Use Wisp, the Nataruk, and the Hirudo. When there’s a lot of enemies use breach surge on one of your reservoirs to increase it’s range. Focus down Eximas with perfect shots and hack any bursas you kill. Use quick fire (just tap, don’t hold) to quickly remove nullifier bubbles, perfect shots are too slow. Pray you get energy and use breach surge defensively if need be. This was Hellish. Fck DE

Hey. Thanks. I today managed to solo all 3. Octavia in survi (sadly she's pretty energy hungry and not tanky enough for others), Wukong with plasmor and hirudo for excavation (one blast stripped shields pretty well) and Wisp for Defense. went pretty well. but yeah. this is much too much effort compared to a bit of farming and just buying the frame at -50 or -75. Soon this will be behind us with an easily farmable Prime

A cheese trick I found is using voidrig (or bonewidow) with fluctus on Plains of Eidolon etc for the "Three headshots in a single aimglide" riven challenge.

Octavia Hildryn lavos. No mods needed. No difficulty. Never do steel path unless u have octavia. Also pet mod sets work and so do mods on khoras kavat

Personally I see the Grendel changes as a side step or a slight nerf because I never had an issue with his damage in the past, but this change guts the already limited CC he had. Being able to zoop up all the small enemies in order to focus myself on the harder targets was instrumental in my usual loop to playing him. With his 1 now capped to 5 enemies that leaves a lot of enemies on the field.

Because of course you haven't if you say that you where "fine" with his damage, and if you say that his old "cc" was better than what he has now, a damage retaliation with constant stagger and max viral proc around you, probably you dont even play the game at all

@@gianfrancosuriano4520 bullshit, his one scaled toxin damage based on the number of enemies you had eaten prior to releasing them, strip the armor on any enemy and it would one shot just about anything that isn't immune to status procs. Also how is having enemies constantly stagger any better than having them in his stomach constantly taking damage and losing armor? If they are in Grendel's stomach they aren't in the way between me and the energy eximus and I can shoot him without having to get within range of their magnetic procs. As for the viral procs, that's one part that I have zero problem with. Like I said in the first part, I see this as a side grade or slightly worse, not a massacre.

But you are glossing on the energy/health drain, you couldnt eat 30 enemies and just let them sit in your belly for a minute waiting their death

Gormand + gloom. As soon as your health reaches zero it releases the group causing them to die and then refills the health. As long as you have energy you're effectively invincible
