Heuvelrug = ridge of hills , and it starts with H not with ch :) The whole ridge was formed by the glaciers in the last ice age, the glacier pushed it up, like a giant bulldozer.. it is one heuvelrug, one word, singular, for more of them, you could check out the Sallandse heuvelrug , which also is composed of hills pushed up by the ice of an ice age.. so the sandy soil and the boulders in the sand might come from Norway or Sweden..
