The Nature vids and the sound of bird calls in the background take me back to my youth. Even the cats remind me of the barnyard cats running around has a positive for me. Kind of miss it.

For an adventure my favorite hobby when I could drive was "Where does this road go?". I loved to discover small hole in the wall diners, souviner or general stores and even towns. Today I'm legaly blind and drive by braile. I tell people I can see the car just fine, just not the one in front of it. Still working on finding a new hobby though.

I grew up on my Grandparents Apple Ranch in Corralitos, California. I have endless memories of hikes and exploring and was fortunate enough to be able to pass them onto the next generation . I hope you are able to do that with your children as well!

There are adventures everywhere to be had. From the asphalt jungle to the woods in your backyard. It is what you make of it. I too grew up in junkyard. Been around cars all my life. Mechanic of 32 years now. Every car I work on is an adventure. Every 10 min. job is just one broken bolt away from losing half or more of a day. And living here in the rust belt. It proves it's self to hold true.

Nice! I’m like you. I have been around cars all my life, still mess with them. Moved to the eastern part of Colorado,where Nebraska and Kansas join it and go out on adventures all over out here. So many places and things to see. Tons of things to do, from finding old farm junkyards full of cool stuff, wildlife on the plains along with killer hikes!

Over here it's the same. We just drove by a big tank/pond like that this evening and it's even lower. I emptied the gauge in the dog compound yesterday and it had 4.3 inches. I don't think that tank/pond we saw had any rain there. I'm with you on the wet winter or Spring or both seasons being wet. Looks like it's going to take a lot of rain to get these tanks filled up. ponds.... And main thing, give your wife a big kiss and hug for that Anniversary present.

I can't walk due to issues with my legs. Your post allows me to adventure from my living room. I used to hunt and wander the fields and woods of north east Indiana. I grew up on the farm so was outside a lot. Also I always enjoyed a good old junkyard. LOL!

If I had more than just my 65 C20 to drive I'd do more adventuring I need to get rid of the 65 since I can't drive it much and get something more modern since my 94 ranger got crushed by my house roof landing on its roof I should also get rid of my 64 Ford 1 ton service truck while it's solid if it sits much longer the packrat might move in and make it a pain to start and drive
