Too much camping fun! PS - Glad your neighbor didn’t cause a disaster. You would think county permit would have a written list of prohibitions about where and under what conditions you could do a controlled burn. Doubt the local fire department would have wanted to rollout on a fire in a junkyard.

My father was a nut (and I could stop right there) for morels. We used to go hunting for them every year. He was pretty good at finding them, and he loved them. That was long ago and far away; I don't even remember what they taste like, though I do like mushrooms. Usually sauteed with steak.

Ain’t no better tasting fish than a crappie. When I was younger I liked to pick the early small gray morels (better flavor and less bugs) then later on pick the big yellow ones to sell, now I like the hen of the woods mushrooms in the fall.

Silus, I've always been afraid of harvesting mushrooms cuz I'm a novice. I love mushrooms but again, not an expert. I always think of that 70's movie with Clint Eastwood when he deserts the civil war and ends up in an all girls school, lol. You know what happens. Your little man is absolutely adorable 😅😅😅😅😅

👍👌👏 Congrats for catching all the fish and finding those big fresh mushrooms. 2) 😱 I simply can't believe what your neighbour did and that the officials allowed him to burn several brush fires during a draught and near your property line. 🙈 Because the fire spread over the property line, you should definitely do something to make sure, this will never happen again. Sue him and/or put it on social media etc.. People who don't care respectively show no responsibility and decency simply must be stopped or it gets worse next time. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all of you.

Those morels are chonkers! The white bass or silver bass are tasty, we'd fill 5 gallon buckets of them at this spot in Lake Erie, we'd catch them on minnows sometimes 2 or 3 at a time. That had to be a nice meal. Chanterelles are popping here after the rain we just had, might go out this weekend. Morels was a total bust with the dry spring.

Great video, glad your cute little amigo got to spend some time with you. Gosh those WERE some huge mushrooms! I remember going on outings with my parents looking for mushrooms and poke for poke salad. Daddy sometimes got to fish as well and mom packed a lunch. She would spread a tablecloth over the hood of our old Chevy and we'd eat. Mom soaked the mushrooms overnight in salt water, she said that got the bugs out. She would slice them horizontally, bread them and fry them. Just remembering this I can taste them. Your little man will remember that time spent with you. Sorry your batteries died, thanks for taking us along. Thankful you were there to catch that fire, crazy neighbor may have just let it burn. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD. Stay safe and GOD bless

Chewed on the trees and built the damn that's excellent. Have not seen that for myself a real life. Even though I live in the woods and grew up in the woods 🪵. Best part is you and your son getting to Hangout. You could always charge camera batteries 🔋 🔋 off that electric generator pack you advertise. Or use an adapter for your battery to charge them. You can never have enough footage of your kids to look back upon.
