I like how even though the Doctor forgot to tell Mickey to stop pressing the button, he still made sure he was alright after the crash. Even when he’s a bit of an ass, if there’s genuine danger he makes sure everyone is ok

This was my first EVER Doctor Who story, these first few minutes are burnt into my mind and the second the Cyberman smashed through the window was the moment Doctor Who smashed into my mind and heart forever (yes, I am aware of how corny that sounds). I wish things were like this again but, sadly, that is just not the case.

First episode for me was Rose, basically grew up with new who. I do think it needs to slow down though, it really doesn't feel like doctor who much anymore, just overproduced nonsense.

Yeah it is probably just the result of them filming later in the year, but during the end of season 2, Pete says that the void has caused global temperatures to increase by a few degrees, and I think that could cause the leaves to grow earlier in the year

By some magical chance I was there in London on the day they filmed this scene where they were coming out of the TARDIS. At the time I had only seen one episode of Doctor Who which was the finale of Series 1. But it was from watching them on this day that I became a fan of the show. I also got to have my Photo taken with Billie Piper (Rose Tyler) which was very special😍🤩😍🤩😃😃

I always feel sorry for the TARDIS in this episode. As soon as the console explodes, her usual wheezing noise turned into something resembling screaming/crying at 0:36. And I like to believe that since she probably knew she was heading to the Void (Hell); she used her last moment to activate her emergency protocols to protect The Doctor and his companions and shifted her materialisation sequence to the closest landing plane she could find before she died.

What made you start at the Waters of Mars out of interest? Quite an interesting time to start just two stories before the Eleventh Hour (waters of Mars also being a classic and a flashpoint in the 10th Doctor's run and personality)

@@them1ghtyalex well 1 i'm from america, so instead of "series" we say "season". and 2 when i said "next season" i mean the one that's coming out next year with jodie whitaker after the christmas special. the season-..."series" finale looked like it was about to go into more parallel world concepts. i didn't want to spoil anything for people who didn't see it yet though by mentioning it. and i just had the tv on bbc america one night and the waters of mars premier came on. i was bored because nothing else was on tv and just started watching it. i heard of doctor who before but i thought it was like an anthology show like twilight zone or outer limits. after i watched it though i thought it was the coolest thing ever and david tennant's acting was the best. then i caught up with the show through reruns on bbc america and been watching ever since.

I wish we could have seen more of the parallel reality stuff. I hope in series 13 they try to fix the whole idiotic timeless child thing. They could make it like The Doctor actually ended up in a parallel reality and the master of that reality mistook the Doctor as the new incarnation of the Doctor he knew from his reality.

@ilikebacon I couldn't agree more it is all part of "BBC diversity and inclusion strategy" if they wanted to be diverse why not cast a male actor who wasn't white. I would of been down for that with no complaints, ever since David Tennant I wanted the doctor to be black for a regeneration.

@@Cyber_Smoke I personally dont rlly care much about the cast as long as their acting is good. Chibnall's writting sucks. I personally dont have any problem with Jodie being the 13th doctor. I mean it is strange to see the doctor as a female but i dont rlly care much about it now. Like u said, having a black doctor or a doctor from any race is fine. I just want the show's writting to be like the good old days and remove the concept of the timeless child.

@@Gamernlte Fair enough, I hate Chibnall's writing due to his lack of understanding of the shows lore, poor humor , weak dialogue, poor character development and just dislike the cast as they all don't really feel like good Sci fi actors. I didn't like the idea of the doctor or The master ( Michelle gomez gave a good performance but she feels more like The Rani) being female because it contradicts all of classic who (Romana,Susan and Rani)and then we had Timeless child which contradicts it even more Omega, Sisterhood of Kaan for examples. At this point the show is like poor fan fiction.

I don't think they could have recorded the 'Behind the Sofa' special feature during lockdown due to filming constraints. It's been one of the best features on the previous Collections. No point in them rushing out a box set that barely has any features. Might as well accept it'll be sometime next year before we get a new one IMO

The TARDIS fell through a crack in time. Wouldn't be surprised that's where Moffatt got his idea for the Cracks in Series 5. Somehow The TARDIS fell through that crack, out of the Vortex, straight through the Void (avoiding the Dalek Void Ship) and onto the Parallel Earth. How I don't know but I would have a feeling that The TARDIS used her last moment to activate her emergency protocols to protect The Doctor and her companions.

The anoying thing is that this episode explanes that Cross-Dimentional travel is Extremely Damageing to the TARDIS, in Journey's End the Dimentional walls were not back to healed yet. but sets in to place that alternate timelines are the same as alternate Dimentions. Then in Orphan 55 it's not even a Problem that thay Transmated not to a near by world, but all the way past the Dimentional walls to that other Earth. If a Transmat has that kind of range Cross-Dimentional travel would be hapening all the time and the Dimentional walls would have been destroyed Billions of year's back. As for anyone breaching the Pocket Dimention of the TARDIS without it needing to happen as part of Pre-Destination. B must hapen to get to C, which links back to A in an odd way, Making S11&s12 inside a Paradox. the Doctor changing B brakes the Paradox by becoming a new 13th Doctor... a return of the 8th Doctor.
