Its really interesting to watch the running of a train from the point of view of the driver and with the coordination with conductor.

When he said he hadnt got a flag , I would have asked who he was and asked if he was giving me authority to pass the signal, and then ''belt and braces'' used the SPT to make sure.

Kevin's "never been in trouble", but he went from being a signalman to a conductor? So people checking tickets and closing doors are on more money than signallers?

The flags have nothing to do with it….there wouldn’t be an EO for the barriers AND a separate hand signaller. The EO turns up, rings the signaller from the barriers, he’s told when to locally lower them and when to display a hand signal. Simple.
You know a hst is a British train, not an American train right? 😑

And how many spads did recording pieces to camera while driving a train cause? 🤔
@memediatek Жыл бұрын
Well AWS/TPWS should have prevented that. The SPAD demonstrated in the video was only possible due to the activation of the TPWS Train Stop Override, which allows a driver to SPAD. Obviously this should only be used with permission to do so, but in the SPAD the driver assumed they had permission

the driver of 2S15 went past signal Mike Victor 31 at danger after encouragement from the guard that the barrier operator wanted them to leave the station when the barrier operator didn't even look at the aspect of signal Mike Victor 31 so the driver of 2S15 turned off the DRA to move past the signal having an uneasy feeling once he passed the signal and once the driver of 2S15 noticed that signal Mike Victor 33 was set to danger he knew he screwed up and contacted the area's signaller.
@memediatek Жыл бұрын
@@eeeby_deebythe DRA is a reminder to the driver. 3:43 when he pushed the Train Stop Override is what allowed the SPAD to occur, making the onboard TPWS equipment ignore the trackside TPWS saying to stop after a SPAD
