@@JMoruzzia waste? if her publisher would run this would be a hilarious story, i once interviewed a manager of a paper company and it was the absolute worst i've ever done. he repeatedly mentioned what a brilliant boss he was, boasted about his romantic exploits (which he suddenly had nothing to say about when i asked for details), tried to control what i wrote. during the interview, one of his staff resigned - which he was convinced was because he was being made redundant himself. by the end of the interview representatives of another company he was working for had been let in to tell him they wouldn't be working with him again, at this point he kicked me out.

@@barbarannop1799 if your friend is actually a narcissist there's nothing funny about it. I've known narcissists do the exact thing Brent does to break up the interaction between the two women. Starting different sentences, enough to give you a feel of where it's going, but not finishing it so it can become an actual conversation. They use this tactic to communicate something to you while acting like they changed their mind part way through so they don't have to be held accountable for it.

When I watched this show for the first time I thought, "WHO does he remind me of?" It drove me crazy. After a while I realized that it was my boss at the time: Thought he was funny, wasn't; thought everybody loved him, they didn't; was forever saying inappropriate things while everyone else cringed. There really is a David Brent "type" among supervisors.
