Lived on Jerome st right next to the gas station when I tell you the amount of times I went to that cart it’s unbelievable never disappoint I’ve literally never had a bad platter from them and the guys are very nice super cool

I love halal. I always get the lamb and chicken combo over the brown rice also. I add onion tomato black beans and chickpeas to my salad with the white sauce. I'll have to try the BBQ. Shah's Halal has BBQ sauce also. Guess I'll be eating halal today. 🤪

J.L That spot has been there for years. I believe that the guy working there his dad had it before him. It was one of my go to spots when I was working over in Wayne Junction at the mini storage. Always good food there.

I used to go to Hicksville NY like once a month and there was a spot that had this, the white sauce the hot sauce and the BBQ. I live just outside of Philly, if y’all don’t won’t to go down North Philly there’s a cart outside of the city in Warminster that has this, just without the BBQ sauce.

JL if you are still on the halal kart vibe, then I’d suggest checking out the kart at Drexel, 33rd and market. It’s not the one on the corner, it’s about a half block up by the gym/courtyard. They offer the normal halal options, but they also have unique specialty items as well. Check out the Chapli kebab over rice. Really good especially for 6 beans

Food suggestion: there is a ridiculous block of amazing food spots in Fishtown. Girard and Frankford. Joes steaks (my favorite cheesesteak in Philly, pizza Shackamaxon (best slice in Philly), Vince’s pizza (great thin crust, Ekta Indian, Murphs bar (Irish pub with an Italian guy who cooks the best Italian food in the city hands down), weckerlys ice cream sandwiches, Kismet bagels (new kids on the block). Check it out!
