Once you study architecture; even a little and get to Palladio it makes a permanent impact. Palladian proportions and symmetry is seductive. So perfectly serene in the mathematics behind it. It never leaves you or your imagination. This house has the sexiest and most beautiful Palladian proportions and scale. It's undeniable. This house is a love letter from the architect that designed it.

Hard to believe that a bunch of Central Indiana carpenter's built this house but we did. IT was the job of a lifetime, alot of skilled carpenter's worked on it first and foremost Gary Stansbury who built the elliptical staircase which was unbelievably complicated along with the majority of the rear of the house facing the lake which involved literally tons of concrete before the finish work hats off to Gary he's my hero and one hell of a carpenter

Ranch, home in SF, home in La, home in Fla, home in Spain, home in Italy, and lastly, a home in Monaco where I enjoy the F1 races annually. Thank you for the video. This house is insane! I teach at a local flight school in Indianapolis and fly over it all the time! it is easily the most beautiful house here.

they should do one on the Jerry Hostetler mansion...He was a construction mogul/known PIMP....his mansion was built by himself..he owned 3 properties right next door to one another...when the IRS came after him for taxes..they were not sure what to do as all the properties were tied together (all three houses were connected into one giant house ...on three properties no less)..look it up....very cool story!

I know I miss not having an inside track to the code on the front gate. Never have I ever..............dropped my canoe in the lake and fished for Largemouth Bass and Crappie while CD was gone doing whatever CD did.

I wish Christal DeHaan could have lived longer to enjoy her mansion. She worked hard and deserved this. Can't believe it's only $14 million. Why didn't the family inherit this house? Most likely because DeHaan had it in her will to sell it off to keep helping children in the world like she has for many years! Such a great woman. I was proud to have worked for her. May she rest in peace!

I can't believe it's worth 14 million given the area it is in. I mean, the home is beautiful, no question about that. It's in an absolute shit hole area. I wouldn't want to live in that area no matter how nice the home. I mean I guess the nice thing is, a house like that there's probably a security detail of at least 2-3 people around the clock. I guess if you just secluded yourself in there, paid people to do everything for you, and never turned on the evening news.. You'd probably never know it.

If your bashing the area then you clearly don't know the area. Most of the area does have a very mixed socioeconomic range. The property itself butts up against Butler University, across from New Fields, Steps away from the historic Golden Hill neighborhood and a 10 minute drive into downtown by car. Also, if you know the area and clearly you don't. You would know that there are a lot of high end properties that are on or adjacent to the White River in that area not to mention the other high end neighborhoods surrounding the area.

Michigan Road, turns into legendary crime street MLK Drive, about 1mi south of this place. The only reason there isn't a ton more crime there, is because so much land is taken up by this property and Crown Hill.

🤔 One thing I noticed about all these mega houses is that they don’t seem to have gardens. I always see swimming pools, spas, basketball courts, theaters,etc. but no place to grow fresh, healthy, unsterilized food. That says a lot about a lot of people’s priorities. 😐

Most people with that kind of money also don't have a lot of free time that they want to spend gardening though? Of course you could pay people to garden for you but... I'm sure probably just as well to buy organic locally produced fruits and vegetables.

It's not like you make a lot of money and end up with a lot of freetime you know, usually you're like, working and shit like that. Edit to say that not that most people dont have jobs but usually people making a lot of money have jobs with responsibilities that are less 9-5 and more 9-9.

This is certainly a beautiful structure but why does it look so dingy and unkempt? The once magnificent stonework on the exterior is covered in filth and lichen. It doesn't appear that anyone has lived there for a long time.
