What Sophia told Amecia and Hugo at the end was like she spoke how the audience was feeling, but she also showed us how much she paid attention to the children despite their supernatural abilities. But I must say, once the slavers arrived, I held my breath, mate. This game is incredibly intense.

A totally random bit of trivia lol: The purple flowering tree near the bridge at 12:32 is Jacaranda, a tree native to South American continent. Since the events in the game happen before European discovery of the Americas, the appearance of the tree is anachronistic.

1:16:15 - 1:17:30 Sophia is an inspiration IMO, but here she is taking on a role I've seen my surrogate mother in my childhood do, as well as others in her ghetto sanctuary in Clarkston in DeKalb county, Georgia. I know it's a wider ranged thing. I've been bottling up a bit of anger about the mere idiocy of the context, but then again I've seen only three ethnic groups' mother figures have this harsh mother's love & I want to say this to those groups: Black moms, Native Tribal American moms & Muslim moms, you are stronger & more pragmatic about a myriad of things, & I'm saying this as a mixed-blood white man raised in white society. _That says a lot about how I have generated a bilious distaste towards my own ethnic culture & far more prefer your ethnic standards of pragmaticism & basics of genuine character._ If you're reading this, & you're either a mother in those three groups or a passerby reading this that agrees with the message, thank you all. I feel like we need stronger people nowadays who aren't afraid of being so blunt & brutally honest, bc they're virtually non-existent in these modern times. Especially about social media brain-rot getting so bad it's becoming an offline issue as of lately.

I don't think Hugo's right about the plague rats being brought to La Cuna because of him. They couldn't have followed him underwater. Those rats are native to the island, they're not plague rats. ...And it seems Basilius had that same kind of appeal to the rats, too. Only in Hugo's life did the rats have such destructive power. Aelia did indeed have info on where Basilius was taken. It must be hidden somewhere under the theater floor map. And slavers driven mad by the island's made-up legend...especially working for the Countess. I doubt she's a bloodthirsty psycho, but she and the Count are less trustworthy than I thought. I don't blame Arnaud for wanting the Count dead...but not in a way that ruins life on La Cuna. Hugo and Amicia are getting more and more stressed... Wherever Basilius was held, it must hold answers. If there's a cure, it could break the charm that's greatly invigorating the rats. With the knowledge that was gained, the progress made...could Hugo's dream go even further? Hopefully, Hugo's sleep will provide further dreaming...

slavers really are teh worst scum humanity has come up with, and putting the psychotic ritual twist on it only made it worse..the more sophia grows on me the more I fear for her saftey, this game likes to hurt me emotionally after all...I really hope she's okay...and I really hope just once that it turns out the count and countess are crazy cultist, ut not EVIL crazy cultist. just once :P
