AYA have released their first Android device with a gorgeous AMOLED 1080p screen. I think this review might change some peoples' minds if they had already written this off due to competing and upcoming devices in the near future, there's definitely a market for this. This device was sent to me for review by AYA, all of the opinions expressed are my own.

I was to get this until i saw Ayn are actually ahead of schedule this time and opted for the Odin 2- this looks great though

Nice to see you back Alex - good video. I grabbed an early bird after people dumped their pledges following Russ' first video showing terrible performance. Love the look of the handheld and the OLED. And your comment about ceiling - couldn't agree more. A lot of Android performance is reliant on the emulators so there's plenty of headroom left. And if I wanted to play perfect Switch, I'd buy a Switch. Maybe you can do a follow up at some point?

Thanks for the interesting video. I also have the pocket air and also the air plus. The pocket air is the one i grab the most! My Odin 1 is for sale now. I was actually also looking to buy the odin 2 but this Oled screen on the pocket air is simply amazing. And the performance is already enough at least for me…

Just bought one of these and am very excited for it to come in, my first handheld emulator! The Odin 2 didn’t really appeal to me. The extra power really only seems too matter for Switch games, a system I’m not interested in, and it seems the Pocket is a bit more premium feeling according to reviews. The vibrant OLED and slightly smaller size feel like the perfect portable emulator. And if I feel I do need the extra power, I can always upgrade to the Pocket S, which is said to be even faster than the Odin 2, but who knows when that will even be available and the cost.

I have a Vita, 3DS and switch.. the Odin lite fitting in perfectly with the bunch! Replaying a lot of GBA latley and also Stardewvalley!

Not bad! Hand Leaver, I wonder if that could be used for using external controllers, some emulators have issues using bluetooth controllers and still keeping the main controller as 1 when outputting to the tv. Btw, how is video out? I would love this if it had a 6 inch screen and a darker color option, 5.5 inch is just a tad too small for me to stream games with, ya know? I also don't know how much the community will gravitate to this, custom buttons, skins, etc. I would have loved to see the specific resolutions for ps2 games, it seems this is a great handheld for people who want to tweak, Odin 2 for people who just wanna jump in. I gotta pass on this, a lil too late and a lil too underpowered especially right next to the Odin 2, it's ability to play more switch and given it's shipping earlier, the same price ish? Big props to them for turning their sh*t around. I think the Odin 2 is the Android handheld to beat, all things considered, I'm still loving my Odin 1, probably will hold onto it for a while, Canadian dollar doesn't go as far as it used to heh.. Been looking around for pocket size devices that can carry a few emulators so this seems promising. A little disappointed in the Yuzu issues, I'm not going to play many & even then some of it would be Animal Crossing New Horizons & possibly Fantasy Life i with Mario Odyssey as an option but like you said it's being updated all the time so maybe I'll wait. This looks like it'd work out pretty great with everything else I was hoping for though so I might check this out when I can afford it.

There is a bug in the software that requires you to turn off the max performance mode then turn it back on. If you sleep or shutdown in between plays it will go back to default, thay might be why Burnout or others games you ran into are struggling. Other videos show Burnout runs fine.

I did see this in older reviews and hoped it was fixed, but I was re-enabling game mode just in case. I double checked just now and jumping into Burnout 3 with default settings and 2x resolution does struggle in that same area, I tried underclocking and 1x resolution but it's not ideal for me. So I don't know what the other videos were doing differently.

Feels like this missed the boat by 2 - 3 months. It’s powerful and the screen looks nice but falls short in a few area for emulation tor me. PS: Whenever SOR 2 cranks up, YOU MIST RAVE!!!

I'm really on the fence between this and the Odin 2, obviously the Odin 2 is more powerful...but is there really much more that it can play? And the Pocket Air does have an AMOLED screen which is a big advantage.

If you can only get one then obviously the Odin 2 is killing it and I hope to get mine in within a few weeks. But the Pocket Air is something that grew on me over time and that screen really is nice...it's kinda like the Loki situation though, had it been 6 months earlier it might've been a lot more relevant than it seems to be now.

odin's battery is bigger and the chipset is more efficient so there's that too

"Overall build quality is very similar to other Ayn models., if you have used them befoee..". And no further description to say if it is actually good or bad. What kind of review is this??
