Unfortunately this story is all too common. A predator had his eye on me while I had my heart set on having some fun…I was an easy target, cause all I craved was some adult attention....🥺

@@ChynnaPhillipsBaldwin I heard this in Sunday School as a small child. And it's good in theory. In practice, there will always be somebody who needs something, and it ends up being yourself never. So, you have to bear in mind that "you cannot pour from an empty cup". So, you have to learn when to say hey time out, I need to be ministered to right now.

You are so right to warn us about those predators, Chynna! And the dangers of sleep overs as a child. My sister was molested at her girlfriend’s house when she was 11 & sleeping over, several times. Her friend’s father molested her... she wasn’t even able to tell us for so long. She was a child! As an adult, she was able to confront the family to save his grandchildren... 💔

Chynna I'm glad that I discovered your channel. I was like wow!! she's a Christian. With your husband, you already know what to do, you quoted the scripture at the beginning of the video. He already knows how you feel about his salvation, but if you keep pushing him, he won't listen, and he will resist. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Just keep being loving and gentle, patience as you would a child, and praying. He will eventually see and hear what you have to say, and don't worry it won't be too late because God knows that's your heart's desire is to see your husband be saved, and it will come when you least expect it.

My dad was a sexual predator and I never knew that he was until I was in my 20s. I was already married and a police detective came to my house to ask me questions about my dad.I was shocked and so ashamed of my dad. Sad thing is that none of his victims would press charges against him. He always offered them money or gifts to keep their silence. I never left my daughter alone with him for a second. What's really sad is he molested the little sister of one of my friends ! The little sister was killed in a jet ski accident a few years later and my dad acted like nothing had ever happened. Sexual predators are all around us.

Chynna. I lived in Venice in the 70’s. It was infested with drugs. In fact my roommate turned out to be huge coke dealer which I did not know about until after I moved in. Thankfully I NEVER even tried coke as an inner voice (God?) told me not to. Anyway Venice was also infested with pedophiles. I heard kids screaming in homes nearby but I did not know what pedophilia was at that time. I thought it was family disputes. I should have called the police but I didn’t. Anyway I moved out as soon as I could. To this very day I feel guilty about that. Btw I was molested by my father’s best friend when I was 13. My parents never believed me when I told them. I could never stop using on my own. I was born again in 1990. I am blessed now w a husband and two children. We have our issues, but we have Jesus now to guide and help us. Hi Chynna. Here is my experience. And many other women at my previous church had this happen as well. I was told: just don't worry about your husband. Just be a good example of a good Christian woman but most of all pray for his salvation & TRUST that God will answer your prayer. I once knew a lady at another church who had prayed everyday for 15 years for her husband & finally one day he asked to go to church with her & he got saved. He said it was because he saw a great change in his wife. She always loved him & never judged him or preached to him. She just became a better person who was caring & showed him love, honor, grace, & mercy. He said he just felt like one day that God was pulling at his heart to get saved & he did. :)) I did the same thing & i would just sometimes talk about God in a pleasant sort of way, about the good things that happened to me or someone else. I would share when I felt the nudging of the Holy Spirit to share a certain thing about God.

Although the guy was older and over 18 I still felt ashamed about myself and that I had let it happen. My self-esteem and life were hurt because of the event and as a result, some of the choices and guilt from them that I made following stayed with me for what seemed like an eternity. Just shine, my sister. It is within the blanket of love that you provide, that God can whisper to his heart. When you feel the energy of 'forcing,' immediately let go with your palms facing up. The faster you can train yourself to do this, the more the Holy Spirit will have to work with. And keep shining; you are truly a light in this world!

Thank you for your honesty Chynna ... I too have been victimized by a few predators in my lifetime and consider myself quite lucky that I wasn't killed. One of the predators knocked me unconscious and brought me to a second location ... I know that he would've raped and killed me if someone hadn't scared him away. This is why we should never judge people. We never know what they've been through and if we did, we'd understand why they are who they are.

The things I have gone through, have made me a strong person of Faith in God, and I know He would never hurt me. Its been a process but I know that we are victorious through Jesus. Billy shows how much he loves the Lord by providing for his family, by treating his wife and children well. I don't think he should have to jump through any hoops. Loosen up .. "Healing begins when someone bears witness." Olivia Benson Chynna, for years I’ve wished I got the chance to sit down and talk with you... because we are so similar in so many ways. I’ve wanted to tell you my story for so, so long! I’m proud of you for this. Though this video took me by surprise; it made me feel not so alone. I was also 14 when my predator who was (37) took advantage of me for 2 years. I won’t go into detail, but every type of abuse you can think of, I endured. It started messy and ended messy. I’m 26 now.... and it took me this long to understand the grooming process and that I indeed was a victim. The mental anguish is still up to this day at times unbearable. If I’m honest, from what I’ve learned in years and years of therapy is grooming is by the book. Sometimes I’m hard on myself about not seeing the red flags... and I stop myself and say “you were 14.. a child... and vulnerable”. Though I’m not a big believer in the lord, I do love your channel, bravery and honesty. I know the amount of courage it takes to tell your story. Like you, I have plenty of bad ones from my childhood and often times can’t even get the words out.. especially without hyperventilating. I’m often asked how I am still standing as well. It’s a miracle. But you have to believe there’s a bigger purpose we made it out of the storm. Thanks for this🧡
