QPTech? Update? Crazy I know, but I am working on it again! First up is a long overdue fix to get mechanical power generation working!
(Note there is a new update on moddb, but it doesn't have this updated power generation yet, it's just a 1.19 compatibility patch)

Looking forward to seeing these mechanical power generators working. Our current game is using QPTech pretty heavily, and it really adds a lot to the mid- and end-game progression. Great mod, really happy to hear you are working on it again :D

Glad to see tech mods for vintage story! For me this is important part of sandbox games. You've done great job! Nice block animations and stuff! Did you consider making some multi-block structures for advanced machines instead of "magic" blocks?

I've toyed with it, like the water tower is a multiblock. I haven't gotten quite to making like an EBF yet. I go back and forth between proper multiblocks and create style machines you build from discreet parts.

@@qptech create-ish style is close to mechanical power in vs so may be this is the way, but some of essential things like ebf can be a simple multi block, or, if it possible, be implemented like native blast furnace but from different materials and with electric coils instead of coal pile

@@zerotheliger Hope to have more involved bigger stuff, but probably not complex chemical chains as that is where the tech mods usually lose me lol

@@qptech XD oh come on you dont wana make polyethylene, benzene, azidoazide azide or Methionylthreonylthreonylglutaminylarginylisoleucine (yes thats a real chemical name.) but yeah i get ya there it got pretty complex in gregtech in late ages i still havent managed to get past EV. but ye keep up the good work ill be excited watching where your mod goes.

It's great that you've started working on it again. In my opinion, mod is sorely lacking a couple of things. 1) Bendable and separable pipes for the delivery of items. This would greatly simplify the infrastructure 2) automatically sealed barrels according to the recipe, which would allow you to automate salting, tanning and other things 3) QPTECH electric power converter to VStory rotational energy and vice versa. 4) There are a lot of intermediate boxes. It would be good if the machine took the object from the specified side, processed it and placed it in the specified direction. This would allow either making chains of machines at once, without intermediate boxes, or using one box for receiving and transmitting

I have had plans to redo the item pipes to match the fluid pipe style layout, just haven't quite gotten to it yet! It is a bit kludgy.

Why did you put an empty file in the mod archive? qptech 1.14.2.zip\assets\machines\lang u.json Because of this, in the game with the ru language, the names of objects are corrupted. Can I help with the translation?

I thought i had an ru one in there a long time ago, but it would be out of date i'll have to remove it. Ah yeah checked the project and there's a grayed out ru.json file that probably is still getting copied when I do a build.

Woosh power! kinda sad to see the motor go though, wire is so much easier to run than axels and gears.

The idea is you won't really need the vanilla mechanical stuff anyways.

wound it be better to make the shaft input of the generators is only on the top? this way it always have at least one angled gear without needing some extra outside knowledge.

I did see a case where the bouncing happened with two so I might have to figure this out anyways. (Actually wonder if it might just be a client side issue)
