@gamesofcolors Thank you so much for the response & info. I'm elderly & disabled with extremely little income now. These things are just pipe dreams for me now. There's no way I could EVER afford the beautiful items you create, but I can at least enjoy just looking at them here on my phone. I also could NEVER be able to afford all of the needed equipment & assessories to make the things that you do. You are very kind to have responded to me anyway & I very much appreciate that in itself. I hope you have a very blessed day. 💕

Your work is beautiful! Does the superglue keep the powder from migrating under the pieces?
@fyodorz
@fyodorz Жыл бұрын
It doesn't. The firing schedule tack pieces to a substrate before powder can migrate to under the pieces.

Beautiful. I just tried a similar technique but I used fine black frit not powder. I got a lot of bleeding from the black lines into the colour. Could the difference in frit used be the cause. Thanks for sharing this.

Hi, unfortunately, you must program ramp up and down rates. This is a large item, so if you heat or cool it fast, it breaks. The ramp up should be not faster than 280F/hour. At the cooling stage you need to anneal first (about 1-30 at 950F, and then cool 100F/hour to 700F). Then cool naturally without opening the kiln.

Do you glue your glass pieces down before applying the glass powder? I'm wondering how the pieces stay put when brushing the powder in between the channels.
